Taylor was sitting up on the edge of her bed, it was only 11pm but she felt like it was 3am – her body was heavy and achy. She wondered if she was coming down with a cold but it felt different.
When she moved, she felt her heartbeat speeding up. She looked at her apple watch and saw it was reading 178BPM. She knew this wasn't normal so she decided to head downstairs slowly to get herself some water to try and feel better.
When she reached the kitchen she gripped her chest – feeling physical pain as her head pounded away. She groaned as she could physically feel the heartbeat throughout her whole body. She checked her watch again – 210BPM. She began to panic – knowing she was in serious danger if she couldn't get it to stop.
As her chest continued to contract, she tried to get some medicine out but her hands were hands were slipping and she couldn't manage. She sighed, trying to take a few deep breaths, thinking to herself "OK – OH GOD. You're having a heart attack"
The overwhelming fear pulsed through her and as she lifted the glass of water to her lips, her sweaty hands slipped and it shattered to the floor. She groaned at the loud noise but began to feel her breathing speeding up as the pain in her chest got worse and worse. She hadn't brought her phone downstairs so couldn't call for help.
Jessica heard the loud shatter in the kitchen and headed out of bed, climbing downstairs slowly when she saw Taylor wasn't in her bedroom, as she came round the corner, she saw the blonde gagging over the sink, using her arms to prop herself up. She was grey and sweaty. Jessica moved closer but Taylor called out "stop! be careful there is glass everywhere"
Jessica looked down, navigating around the shards carefully. She reached Taylor and her eyes went wide "what's wrong"
Taylor's own eyes were full of panic "i...my chest hurts...I think I'm going to collapse"
Jessica nodded, helping Taylor to slide down the wall onto the floor. The teen looked away "I'm going to get help – stay here"
Taylor nodded, too scared to protest.
Jessica sprinted upstairs, grabbing her phone and calling an ambulance quickly – explaining the chest pains and her general appearance. They assured her they would be there as soon as possible. Once the call ended – panic began to rush over the teen. She unlocked her phone again, hitting call on Tree's contact. After only a couple of seconds, the redhead answered "Jessica? What's wrong honey?"
The words came tumbling out "Tay's not well – she looks like she's dying. I've rung an ambulance and they're coming but what if it leaks to the press?! Oh god Tree, I'm scared"
Jessica could hear her moving on the other end of the line and she heard a door slam "I'm coming honey – stay on the phone with me"
Jessica began to cry "No I can't I need to go back downstairs with Tay – she's all alone"
Tree hummed "You can go and sit with her, but you can stay on the phone with me too. I'm driving right now – I will be there soon, OK?"
Jessica nodded before sprinting back downstairs, "she's breathing Tree"
Tree smiled "ok good – go and get her a drink"
As the teen handed it to Taylor, the blonde shook her head, her whole body shaking "she won't drink it Tree"
The redhead kept her voice calm "OK – go and get her a cool flannel and pop it on her head. I am halfway there"
Jessica rushed away, coming back with the wet flannel – putting it on the blonde's forehead as instructed.
