It was Wednesday night which meant it was the weekly dinner with Tree. Jessica was still sulking about her increased meal plan but she loved Wednesdays because she got to eat the same as Tree and Taylor – albeit in larger quantities. When Tree arrived, Jessica was still doing her homework up the table. She smiled at the redhead as she walked in, standing to give her a hug. The redhead smiled at her and Taylor "it smells great in here Tay..."

Jessica looked up "she's made a paste for the salmon. We have salmon, asparagus, broccoli and crispy potatoes..."

Taylor's eyes widened "Jessica!"

Jessica shrugged, looking at Tree "I'm not supposed to know until we eat, but I could see her prepping it all..."

Tree laughed "well maybe you need to do your homework upstairs in future"

Taylor playfully glared at the teen "no, last week when she did I found her scrolling through TikTok instead!"

Jessica shrugged "it's too boring..."

Tree looked down "are you nearly done?"

Jessica nodded "yep about 5 more minutes and that's my homework for the week done..."

Taylor smiled "ok, get that done and you can go and relax in the living room with Tree"

The teen smirked "that's Taylor's way of saying get out of the kitchen..."

Tree laughed, then patiently waited for the teen for finish before leading her to the living room where they chatted away, catching up on the last week.

Tree grabbed some painkillers and swallowed them with a bottle of water quickly. Jessica frowned "headache?"

Tree nodded, half a smile on her face "something like that..."

Jessica frowned but didn't say anything else as Taylor came in to get them for dinner.

As the three of them sat down, Jessica looked between the plates – sighing as she saw the amount of food she would have to force down again.

Taylor smiled at her softly "just take it bite by bite."

Jessica nodded before slowly making her way through the food.

The three of them were chatting away throughout the meal, as Tree ate a piece of asparagus she winced slightly. Taylor's eyes widened "what's wrong with it?"

Tree shook her head "nothing...bit my cheek"

Taylor nodded but was unconvinced. She watched for a few more bites before speaking up again "you're wincing when you chew...are you in pain?"

Jessica piped up immediately "she took painkillers before dinner!"

Tree glared at her playfully before looking back at Taylor "I have a slight toothache"

Taylor stared at her for a second "have you seen the dentist?"

Tree nodded "yep."

Taylor frowned "and?"

Tree rolled her eyes "and I had a filling, it's just sensitive"

Taylor wasn't convinced though "maybe you need to get seen again"

Tree shrugged "it'll be fine"

Jessica spoke up "you always make us get seen..."

Taylor smirked slightly "yeah you do – so why don't you book another appointment?"

Tree rolled her eyes "if it'll shut you both up and stop you talking about my teeth – fine I will book another appointment"

Taylor smirked at Jessica "see how powerful we are?"
