ACHARA NARROWLY AVOIDED THE PUNCH THROWN AT HER.

As Achara stood half up from ducking down, the girl that she was fighting attempted to hit her again. Achara grabbed her fist before she had the chance and twisted her arm. The girl winched in pain, and Achara pushed her forward as she let go of her arm. She kicked the girl in the back, causing her to fall to the floor. Achara turned on her heels to see another Cobra Kai student behind her, trying to hit her from behind. Achara lowered herself to the floor and swept the boy to his feet.

When she turned back around, Chae was standing in front of her in the process of kicking a girl in the stomach. Achara watched the girl fall to her feet. She glanced down at the girl before looking back up at Chae.

"Are you good?" Achara asked.

Chae nodded. "Yeah. You?"

"Yeah," Achara replied with a nod, looking behind her. "Behind you!"

Chae turned, the fist of a boy wearing a Cobra Kai shirt missing her head by an inch. Chae grabbed the boy's arm tightly and flipped him into his back.

Across the mat, Chae noticed Devon standing in front of Tory. Chae looked at Achara, quickly thanking her before she ran in Devon's direction.

"You don't want to be on their side. Trust me," Tory tried to tell Devon.

"Like you trusted me?" Devon questioned, her fists still held in fighting position. "You've been lying about whose side you were really on this whole time."

"I know. I'm sorry," Tory apologized. "I tried telling you—" she paused to kick a boy in the abdomen.

Devon turned to look at Chae, the look of betrayal in her eyes. Chae hated how accustomed she had come to seeing that expression.

"Devon, please. Tory's right," Chae tried to reason with her. "As long as Silver and my mother are in control, Cobra Kai is dangerous. My mother, she—"

"Were you on their side the whole time too?" Devon asked.

Chae shook her head. "No. I wasn't on their side until after the Sekai Taikai match. But I knew that I wasn't on the right side."

Devon glanced back and forth between Chae and Tory as if she were trying to figure out her next move. Devon shook her head and walked away from them. Chae and Tory exchanged a look, and both of them let out a sigh of disappointment.

...

Decha made a run for the stairs but was pulled back by the hood of his jacket. He spun around, raising his fist as he turned, and punched the boy across from him in the face. The boy let go of his hood and fell to the mat, blood starting to trickle down from his nose.
