The sun was setting over the Outer Banks, casting a warm golden glow that made everything feel a bit magical. You were hanging out with Rafe and the Pogues at the chateau, but your mood was anything but magical. You couldn't shake off the feeling of jealousy that had settled in your stomach like a heavy stone.

Rafe had been chatting with a new girl who had recently joined the crew. She was stunning, with long blonde hair and an infectious laugh that echoed around the room. You tried to focus on your friends, but your eyes kept drifting back to Rafe and the girl, who seemed to be leaning in just a little too close.

"Hey, you good?" Kie asked, nudging you gently. "You seem a little off."

You forced a smile, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired."

"Don't lie," she replied, concern etched on her face. "What's bothering you?"

You sighed, glancing back at Rafe, who was now making the girl laugh harder than anyone else in the room. "It's nothing. I just—he's really into her, huh?"

Kie followed your gaze and raised an eyebrow. "Rafe? He's just being friendly. You know how he is."

"Yeah, but it feels different," you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. "He's never looked at me like that."

"Are you sure you're not just overthinking it?" Kie asked gently. "You and Rafe are together. He wouldn't throw that away for some girl he just met."

"Maybe," you replied, crossing your arms as a wave of insecurity washed over you. "But I can't help but feel like I'm not enough for him."

As the night went on, your jealousy only intensified. Rafe kept stealing glances at the girl, and every laugh she let out felt like a dagger to your heart. You watched as they engaged in playful banter, the type of banter that made your stomach churn.

Finally, you couldn't take it anymore. "I'm going to grab a drink," you said, forcing a smile as you stood up. Kie gave you a knowing look, but you ignored it and made your way to the kitchen.

You filled a glass with water, taking deep breaths to calm yourself down. Just as you were about to leave, Rafe walked in, his eyes lighting up when he saw you.

"There you are! I was looking for you," he said, his voice full of warmth. "I wanted to introduce you to..."

You cut him off, unable to hide the bitterness in your voice. "I saw. You're having a great time over there."

Rafe frowned, stepping closer to you. "What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean," you replied, crossing your arms defensively. "You're all buddy-buddy with her."

He looked genuinely confused. "It's just friendly. We're just messing around, you know how it is."

"Yeah, but you don't act like that with me," you said, the words spilling out before you could stop them. "Maybe I'm just not fun enough for you."

Rafe's expression shifted from confusion to concern. "What? That's not true at all. You're amazing, and I love you. I don't want anyone else. It's just... she's new, and I wanted to make her feel welcome."

You felt your heart soften a little at his words, but the jealousy still clung to you. "It just feels like you're more interested in her than me."

Rafe stepped closer, taking your hands in his. "Listen to me," he said earnestly. "You're the one I want. You're my girlfriend, and nothing is going to change that. You're not 'not enough'—you're everything to me."

You searched his eyes, looking for any signs of insincerity, but all you found was love and honesty. "I just... I guess I worry that I'll lose you."

He shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "You're not going to lose me. I promise. I'm not going anywhere."

Feeling a wave of relief wash over you, you sighed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get jealous. I trust you."

"I get it," he said, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "I'd feel the same way. Just know that you're the one I choose, always."

"Okay," you whispered, a small smile forming on your lips.

Rafe pulled you in for a hug, wrapping his arms tightly around you. "Let's go back out there and show them how it's done."

You chuckled, finally feeling the weight of jealousy lift. "Yeah, let's do it."

As you both walked back to the group, you realized that no matter how many pretty girls came and went, Rafe Cameron was yours, and you had no reason to doubt that.
