The early morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, painting the room in a soft golden hue. You stirred awake, blinking groggily as the scent of fresh pine from the Christmas tree in the living room reached your nose. Beside you, Rafe was still fast asleep, his arm slung over your waist and his face buried in the pillow.

A small giggle from the doorway made you turn your head. Savannah stood there in her red-and-white striped pajamas, clutching her stuffed bunny. Her curls were wild, and her little face was lit with pure excitement.

"Santa came!" she whispered loudly, her eyes sparkling.

You smiled, placing a finger to your lips. "Shh, baby. Let's not wake Daddy just yet."

Rafe groaned, his head lifting from the pillow. "Too late," he mumbled, his voice raspy with sleep.

Savannah clapped her hands, bouncing in place. "Presents!"

You laughed, sitting up and rubbing your eyes. "Okay, okay. Let's go see what Santa brought."

Rafe sat up too, stretching and yawning. "She's got way too much energy for this early in the morning," he said with a chuckle, reaching out to scoop Savannah into his arms as she ran to him.

The three of you made your way to the living room, where the massive Christmas tree stood, its lights twinkling against the colorful ornaments. Savannah gasped, her hands flying to her cheeks.

"Look at all da pwesents!" she exclaimed, wriggling out of Rafe's arms to run toward the tree.

You settled on the couch, pulling a blanket over your legs as Rafe plopped down beside you, his arm draped over your shoulders. Together, you watched as Savannah inspected the wrapped gifts, her little hands tracing the bows and tags.

"Okay, baby girl," Rafe said, grinning. "Pick one to open first."

She chose a box wrapped in shiny silver paper with her name written in your handwriting. Tearing into it, she let out a squeal of delight as the wrapping fell away, revealing a plush unicorn.

"It's so pwetty!" she exclaimed, hugging it tightly.

You smiled, your heart full. "That's from Mommy and Daddy, sweet girl."

She ran over to you both, her tiny arms wrapping around your necks as she tried to hug you both at once. "Thank you!"

Rafe chuckled, kissing the top of her head. "You're welcome, Savannah."

The morning passed in a blur of torn wrapping paper, squeals of excitement, and laughter. Savannah's face lit up with each gift she opened, her joy infectious. Rafe helped her assemble her new tricycle, while you sorted through the discarded wrapping paper and ribbons.

By midday, the three of you were in the kitchen, making a Christmas breakfast. Savannah sat at the counter, carefully placing strawberries on her pancake.

"Look, Daddy! It's a happy face!" she said, pointing proudly at her creation.

Rafe grinned, flipping a pancake onto a plate. "That's pretty impressive, Sav. Think you could teach Mommy?"

"Hey!" you said, swatting his arm playfully.

Savannah giggled, taking a big bite of her pancake. "Mommy's already good at happy faces!"

Rafe leaned in to kiss your cheek. "See? She's got your back."

After breakfast, you spent the afternoon outside. Savannah rode her new tricycle around the driveway, her giggles filling the air as Rafe jogged beside her, cheering her on. You sat on the porch, holding a mug of hot cocoa and watching them, your heart full.

Later, you all curled up in the living room to watch Christmas movies. Savannah snuggled between you and Rafe, clutching her new unicorn plushie. Her excitement from the morning began to fade as she grew sleepy, her eyelids drooping.

By the time the sun had set, Savannah was tucked back into bed, her little arms wrapped around her unicorn. You and Rafe stood by her doorway, watching her sleep peacefully.

"She had the best day," you whispered, leaning your head against Rafe's shoulder.

"She wasn't the only one," he murmured, pressing a kiss to your hair.

The two of you retreated to the living room, where the remnants of the day's festivities still lay scattered. You sat on the couch, pulling a small gift from behind the cushions.

"Okay," you said, handing it to Rafe. "Your turn."

He raised an eyebrow, his lips curving into a smirk. "You've been hiding this all day?"

You shrugged, smiling. "Open it."

Rafe tore into the wrapping paper, revealing a sleek watch. He stared at it for a moment before looking up at you, his eyes soft. "It's perfect. Thank you, love."

You grinned. "Now you can stop using your phone to check the time."

He laughed, pulling you into his arms. "I love it. And I love you."

Your cheeks flushed as you leaned into him. "I love you too."

Rafe reached behind him, pulling out a small velvet box. "Now it's your turn."

Your breath hitched as you opened the box to reveal a delicate necklace with a small, heart-shaped pendant.

"Rafe..." you whispered, your voice thick with emotion.

He smiled, fastening it around your neck. "It's simple, but I wanted you to have something you could always wear. Something from me."

You touched the pendant, tears welling in your eyes. "It's perfect."

Rafe cupped your face, his thumb brushing your cheek. "Merry Christmas, love."

You leaned in, your lips meeting his in a soft, lingering kiss. As you pulled back, you rested your forehead against his, the warmth of the moment wrapping around you like a blanket.

"Merry Christmas, Babe."
