It was a perfect summer day, the sun shining brightly in the sky, and the salty breeze coming off the ocean felt refreshing against your skin. You and Rafe had decided to spend the day at the beach, a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of your everyday lives.

You both arrived early, claiming a cozy spot on the sand. Rafe immediately set up the beach umbrella, his muscles flexing as he worked, and you couldn't help but admire how good he looked in his fitted swim trunks. The sight made your heart race, but you shook your head, trying to focus on enjoying the day.

Once the umbrella was up, Rafe settled down on the towel beside you, throwing an arm around your shoulders and pulling you close. "Ready to have some fun?" he asked, his blue eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Definitely!" you replied, feeling a rush of energy as you reached for the sunscreen. "But first, we need to make sure we don't burn. You know how easily you tan."

"Hey, I don't burn; I bronze," he shot back playfully, flexing his arm in mock pride.

You laughed, applying sunscreen to your skin before turning to him. "Alright, let me help you with your back. Can't have you looking like a lobster today."

Rafe turned around, and as you began to rub the sunscreen onto his back, you could feel the warmth radiating from his skin. "You really know how to pamper a guy," he said with a smirk, leaning into your touch.

"Just looking out for my boyfriend," you replied, enjoying the intimate moment. You loved being close to him like this, feeling the warmth of the sun and the softness of the sand beneath you.

After applying sunscreen, you both decided to hit the waves. Rafe grabbed your hand, and together, you raced toward the water, laughing as the cool ocean splashed against your legs. You felt exhilarated, free, and entirely in the moment as Rafe playfully dunked you in the water, eliciting squeals of surprise from you.

"You're in trouble now!" you laughed, trying to splash him back, but he was too quick, dodging your attempts. You both played in the waves, the sound of your laughter mixing with the crashing surf around you.

After a while, you both returned to your spot on the beach, collapsing onto the towels, breathless and happy. Rafe reached for a bottle of water, taking a sip before handing it to you. "Best day ever," he declared, leaning back on his elbows, his eyes reflecting the sunlight.

You smiled, feeling the warmth of the sun on your face and the happiness of the day swelling in your chest. "It really is. I love days like this with you," you said, leaning your head against his shoulder.

Rafe turned to you, his expression suddenly serious. "You know I'd do anything for you, right?"

Your heart raced at the sincerity in his voice. "I know," you replied softly. "I'd do the same for you."

He smiled, that familiar playful glint returning to his eyes. "Alright then, how about a little competition? First one to build the best sandcastle wins."

"Challenge accepted!" you exclaimed, sitting up and grabbing a bucket and shovel. You both got to work, the friendly rivalry making you laugh even more as you tried to outdo each other with your creations.

After what felt like hours of fun, you both stepped back to admire your work—two grand sandcastles with towers and moats, a testament to your teamwork and creativity. Rafe looked over at you and laughed. "Okay, I think we both win this one."

As the sun began to set, painting the sky in vibrant shades of orange and pink, you both lay back on your towels, exhausted but happy. Rafe turned to you, propping himself on one elbow, and you found yourself getting lost in his gaze.

"Thanks for today. I love you," he said, his voice soft but sincere.

"I love you too, Rafe," you replied, feeling a warmth spread through your heart. The day might end, but these moments with him would always stay with you, the memories etched in your mind forever.
