The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a warm golden hue over the beach, and you could hear the soft sound of waves lapping against the shore. You stirred awake to the gentle sound of your baby's cooing from the nursery. It was your first morning as a new mom, and you were still getting used to the peaceful chaos that came with having a newborn.

Rafe was already awake, sitting in the rocking chair by the window, cradling your baby girl, Savannah, in his arms. The sight of them together was enough to make your heart swell. Rafe, who had once been wild and reckless, was now the doting father you had always hoped he would be.

"Good morning, gorgeous," he said with a sleepy smile as you entered the room, still wrapped in the warmth of your blankets.

"Good morning," you replied, your voice still soft and tired. "How's my little princess?"

"Just perfect," Rafe said, glancing down at the tiny bundle in his arms. "She was just telling me about her dreams of being a pirate."

You chuckled as you reached out to gently tickle Savannah's chin, making her giggle. "She's going to be a heartbreaker just like her dad."

Rafe grinned, a mix of pride and protectiveness shining in his eyes. "I'll be ready for it. No boys until she's at least thirty."

You rolled your eyes playfully. "You know that's not going to happen, right?"

Rafe leaned back in the chair, cradling Savannah close to his chest. "We'll see about that. For now, I just want to soak in these moments." He looked up at you, his gaze intense and full of love. "You're amazing, you know that? I couldn't have done this without you."

Your heart melted as you walked over to him and wrapped your arms around both him and Savannah. "We make a pretty good team, huh?"

"The best team," Rafe agreed, resting his chin on your head. "I can't believe she's ours."

You smiled, leaning into him as you both watched Savannah wiggle and squirm in her dad's embrace. "Let's take her for a walk on the beach today," you suggested. "It'll be nice to get some fresh air."

"Sounds perfect," he replied. "But first, I think she needs a little breakfast." Rafe stood up, still holding Savannah expertly in one arm, and walked over to the changing table. You couldn't help but smile at how natural he looked, deftly changing her diaper with the other hand.

After Savannah was fed and dressed, the three of you headed outside. The beach was quiet, the only sounds being the gentle rustling of palm trees and the distant call of seagulls. Rafe held your hand, swinging it lightly as he walked beside you.

"Can you believe we have a baby?" he asked, glancing down at Savannah, who was peacefully gazing up at the sky.

"It's surreal," you admitted. "I never thought I'd see you as a dad, but you're doing an amazing job."

Rafe chuckled, a hint of bashfulness creeping into his demeanor. "I'm just trying to be the best for her. I want her to know she can always count on me."

"She will," you said, leaning in and giving him a soft kiss. "You're already such a great role model."

As you walked along the shore, Rafe stopped to let Savannah feel the cool ocean breeze on her tiny face. "Look at this, little one," he said, pointing at the waves crashing against the shore. "This is where your daddy grew up. We're going to have so many adventures together."

You felt a swell of emotion at the sight of Rafe talking to Savannah as if she could understand every word. It was a reminder of how much he had changed since the days of reckless adventures with the Pogues. Now, he was focused on building a life and future for his family.

After a while, Rafe knelt down, letting Savannah touch the sand for the first time. "Look at this!" he exclaimed. "You're a beach baby now!"

You took out your phone to capture the moment, knowing you would want to cherish these memories forever. "Smile, Daddy!" you teased, snapping a picture of Rafe's proud grin as he held Savannah against the backdrop of the sea.

Later, you settled onto a blanket in the sand, sharing snacks and laughter as you watched Rafe interact with Savannah. He was gentle and patient, showing her the wonders of the world around them. It filled your heart with joy to see him embracing fatherhood so fully.

"Did you ever think we'd end up here?" you asked, looking over at Rafe, who was playfully blowing raspberries on Savannah's tummy.

"Not a chance," he replied, shaking his head in disbelief. "But now I can't imagine it any other way."

As the sun began to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, Rafe pulled you close. "I love you," he whispered, looking into your eyes with sincerity.

"I love you too, Rafe," you replied, your heart swelling with happiness. "I wouldn't want to do this with anyone else."

"Savannah is so lucky to have you as her mom," Rafe said, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "You've made my life better in every way."

In that moment, surrounded by the sound of waves and the warmth of the setting sun, you knew that this was the life you had always wanted—full of love, adventure, and the promise of a bright future as a family. As you looked at Rafe and Savannah, you realized that no matter what challenges lay ahead, you would face them together, united as a family.

As the last light of day faded into twilight, you leaned your head on Rafe's shoulder, and he pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head. Savannah gurgled happily, and you both laughed, your hearts brimming with the joy of being a family.

"Let's make a pact," Rafe said, his tone playful but sincere. "No matter what happens, we stick together as a family."

"Deal," you said, feeling the weight of his words and the promise they held.

"Good," he replied, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Now, what do you think about planning our first family vacation? Maybe a trip to the Bahamas?"

You laughed, feeling your heart swell with anticipation. "That sounds perfect. Just us three, making memories."

"Just us three," Rafe echoed, wrapping his arms around both you and Savannah. As the stars began to twinkle above, you knew that this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey, one filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures.
