minho hummed softly to himself as he walked into the little flower shop that stood on the corner, the familiar bell above the door chiming brightly as he stepped inside.

the cozy space was filled with the scent of fresh blooms, and he smiled to himself, imagining the look on jisung's face when he saw the bouquet. he ran his fingers through his dark hair, glancing at the array of flowers before his eyes landed on a bunch of delicate soft pinks and whites - roses, baby's breath, and a few delicate lilies, which seemed just as sweet and bright as the boy he loved. perfect.

"can I help you find something?" the florist asked, a warm smile on her face as she noticed minho's thoughtful expression.

"yeah, I'll take those," minho replied, pointing to the bouquet he had been eyeing. "they're for my boyfriend," he added, feeling a flicker of pride as he spoke.

the florist's smile widened, and she carefully wrapped the flowers in soft, crinkly paper before handing them over. "he's a lucky one."

minho chuckled. "I'm the lucky one." he took the bouquet, thanked the florist, and made his way out, heading toward the daycare center where jisung worked.

as he walked, the early autumn air was crisp, but the warmth in his chest from thoughts of jisung kept him cozy.

jisung had always had a special way with kids - so kind, so patient. whenever minho thought about it, he couldn't help but feel his heart swell with affection. jisung's gentle nature drew people in like a magnet, and minho had fallen head over heels for him because of that kindness. he couldn't wait to surprise his love at work today.

when he reached the small daycare, a simple brick building with colorful handprints painted near the entrance, he felt a wave of excitement. the receptionist smiled when she saw him, clearly recognizing him from his occasional visits.

"hi there, minho!" she greeted warmly. "here to see jisung?"

minho grinned and nodded. "yeah, I thought I'd surprise him today. mind if I wait for him?"

"of course not. you can head in; he should be finishing up soon," she said, waving him inside.

minho thanked her and stepped into the building, his heart beating a little faster as he walked down the hallway. the sound of giggles and chatter filled the air, along with the occasional clatter of toys. he smiled softly, imagining jisung somewhere in one of these rooms, probably on the floor surrounded by kids, his eyes crinkling with laughter.

as minho neared one of the rooms, he heard the sound of quiet sobs. his brows furrowed, and he instinctively slowed down. the door was open just a crack, and he couldn't help but peek inside.

there, through the open door, he saw jisung crouched beside a little boy who sat on the floor, tears streaming down his round cheeks. the sight tugged at minho's heart, but it was what jisung did next that made him stop in his tracks.

with infinite gentleness, jisung scooted closer to the boy, carefully wrapping his arms around him and pulling him into a comforting hug. he rested his chin atop the boy's head, softly stroking his hair and whispering words of comfort.

"shh, it's okay, sweetheart," jisung murmured, his voice soft and soothing. "I'm right here. I know you're feeling sad, but it's going to be okay, I promise."

the little boy sniffled but didn't pull away, instead clutching jisung's shirt tightly as he buried his face in his chest.

jisung continued to hold him, rocking him gently as if the motion alone could erase all of the boy's troubles. "do you want to tell me what's wrong?" he asked, his tone as tender as ever.
