the early morning air was still crisp when minho stepped outside, barely awake, his messy hair betraying the rush he’d been in. his black sweatpants hung loose around his hips, and the baby blue sweatshirt he threw on in a hurry was too big for him - swallowing him in soft fabric.

he didn’t even look in the mirror before leaving his apartment, which wasn’t like him at all.

he spotted jisung waiting near the train station, bouncing on the heels of his sneakers, hands shoved deep into his coat pockets. the second he saw minho approaching, his entire face lit up with a wide, affectionate grin.

“hyung, you look adorable,” jisung said without missing a beat.

minho groaned, rubbing his eyes. “I didn’t have time to get ready. I overslept.” he pulled out his phone and turned on the front camera. “shit,” he muttered at the reflection, seeing the absolute chaos that was his hair. he quickly raised a hand to smooth it down.

“no!” jisung blurted, a little too loud for the quiet street. he reached out and grabbed minho’s wrist, pulling it down.

“jisung–” minho started to protest, but the younger boy was already stepping close, slipping his fingers through minho’s hair. instead of fixing it, he made it worse - ruffling it with clear amusement. minho let out a sigh, letting his arm fall limply to his side, closing his eyes and just letting jisung do whatever he wanted.

“I like it like that,” jisung said cheerfully. his hand slid down from minho’s hair to cup his face, and when minho opened his eyes, the sight in front of him made him smile - jisung was beaming, eyes bright with happiness.

without thinking, minho leaned forward and kissed jisung’s cheek. he reached up and took jisung’s hand in his, intertwining their fingers and bringing them to his lips for a soft kiss against jisung's knuckles. “let’s go?” he asked.

jisung nodded, his smile turning a little shy now.

they spent the day just walking - no plans, no schedules. just them, wandering the city, hand in hand. they passed quirky little stores, wandered through backstreets lined with blooming plants, and eventually stopped at a small café for lunch. the weather was pleasant, not too cold, the kind that made you want to stay outside just a little longer.

later, they browsed through some shops. minho wasn’t looking for anything, but when he saw a small enamel pin shaped like a daisy, he picked it up for jisung.

“it reminded me of you,” he said, placing it in jisung’s hand. “pretty. beautiful.”

jisung blushed so hard he actually hit minho on the shoulder before covering his face with both hands, completely embarrassed because the cashier was clearly watching them with an amused smile. minho just laughed.

as the sky began to shift into shades of orange and pink, they slowly made their way back to jisung’s apartment. the street lights flickered on one by one, and their conversation turned quieter, more intimate, as if they were wrapped in their own bubble.

“today was… warm,” jisung said softly.

minho raised an eyebrow. “warm? it’s actually pretty chilly, sungie- what?” he asked when jisung started giggling uncontrollably.

“you’re just–silly,” jisung said between laughs.

minho tried to frown, but it didn’t stick. jisung turned toward him fully and wrapped his arms around minho’s neck, pulling him close. minho immediately mirrored the gesture, his arms curling around jisung’s waist.
