everyone could see it.

minho and jisung were hopelessly, helplessly, painfully in love with each other - everyone could see it except them.

it had been going on for months. the soft glances, the lingering touches, the way minho's eyes lit up when jisung laughed, and the way jisung leaned just a little closer than necessary whenever they talked.

their group of friends had witnessed this slow-burn romance unfold like a drama, one episode at a time.

and it was driving them insane.

one night at the dorm, chan leaned back on the couch with a sigh. "I'm telling you, they're in love. it's like a badly written romance novel, but real life."

"they're just too stubborn to realize it," hyunjin added, tossing popcorn into his mouth. "minho-hyung would rather eat his own shoe than confess first."

jeongin snorted. "and jisung's too scared minho-hyung will reject him. it's pathetic, really."

changbin crossed his arms. "should we... push them a little?"

felix shook his head with a knowing smile. "nah, they'll get there eventually. something dramatic will happen. it always does."

and dramatic it was.

minho was frustrated.

frustrated at himself, frustrated at his feelings, frustrated at how his heart did that stupid fluttery thing whenever jisung was around.

he had bottled it up for so long that it felt like it was about to explode. so he did what any emotionally repressed man would do - he went to a bar.

three drinks in, and minho was starting to feel tipsy. he looked around, taking in all the people that were at the bar, drinking, dancing. no one caught his attention. how could someone when his mind was occupied by jisung for the last few months?

five and a half drinks in, and minho was far from sober. his head was buzzing, his heart pounding, and all he could think about was him.

he pulled out his phone, squinting at the screen, and called the one person who was always on his mind.

"ji... jisungie," minho slurred into the phone, barely coherent. "I'm... I'm at... uh, this bar... I'm drunk."

jisung immediately shot up from his chair. "hyung, where are you? are you okay?" his voice was laced with worry.

minho giggled, the sound breathless and soft. "I'm okay... but you're so pretty, sungie... did you know that?"

jisung's heart clenched. "stay there. I'm coming to get you."

the smell of alcohol hit jisung when he walked into the bar. there were too many people, the music was so loud, the lights blinding.

he moved to the side to dodge a few girls that were trying to walk towards the exit without falling, giggling at something - or at nothing - on their way.

jisung looked around, trying to spot minho somewhere.

it took him two minutes to spot him.

jisung found minho slouched over at a dimly lit bar, his head resting on the counter, a soft pout on his lips. he looked adorable and ridiculous at the same time.
