------------------the sounds of clicking keys and rapid-fire commentary filled the room as minho focused on the game, his headset snugly fitting over his ears.
the illuminated monitors in front of him cast a soft blue glow across his features. his eyes narrowed in concentration, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he maneuvered his character on the screen with skill and precision.
his fingers danced over the keyboard, moving quickly with practiced ease. the sounds of his friends' voices, excited and competitive, came through his headphones. his mic was live, and his audience - hundreds, if not thousands, of viewers - were eagerly watching him navigate through the game.
jisung stood quietly at the doorway, his eyes fixed on his boyfriend.
he'd had a rough day. nothing in particular had gone wrong, but one of those days where everything felt just a bit heavier, where his own thoughts seemed too loud in his head. and now, he needed something, someone, to make it better.
he needed minho.
jisung stepped into the room, his movements quiet, almost hesitant.
minho looked so focused, his brow furrowed in determination, and jisung knew how much he loved these streams, how much he enjoyed playing games with his friends.
a little voice in jisung's head told him to wait, to let minho finish his game. but another part of him, the part that just wanted comfort, urged him forward.
"min..." jisung whispered, his voice barely audible over the sound of the game and minho's teammates shouting through the headset.
minho didn't react; he was too absorbed in the game. jisung pouted a little, his lips forming a small, dissatisfied pout as he edged closer.
"hyung..." he called out again, this time a little louder, trying to get his boyfriend's attention. minho still didn't hear him.
jisung could feel the frustration building up, his shoulders slumping a little. he knew minho didn't mean to ignore him; he just couldn't hear him through the headset.
jisung moved closer, standing right next to minho now, his head still out of view of the camera. only his chest and legs were visible to the viewers, but he didn't care.
he poked minho's shoulder lightly, a small, needy poke that made minho glance away from the screen for a moment, his eyes widening in surprise.
"hyung..." jisung repeated, his voice soft, almost a whisper.
minho turned his head, his gaze meeting jisung's. for a moment, minho looked confused, his brain still half in the game, but then he saw the look on jisung's face - the slight pout, the big, round eyes looking up at him with a mixture of hope and vulnerability.
minho's expression softened instantly. he pushed his chair back a little, freeing up some space between himself and the desk. "c'mere, baby," he murmured, a small smile forming on his lips.
jisung's face lit up, the pout disappearing as he wasted no time climbing into minho's lap. he settled himself comfortably, his legs hanging off the side of the chair, his arms wrapping around minho's shoulders, and his face burying itself in the crook of minho's neck.
minho chuckled softly, his hands automatically finding their way around jisung's waist, pulling him closer. "there we go, sweetheart," he whispered, his voice barely audible to anyone but jisung.
he pressed a gentle kiss to jisung's head, his lips lingering against the soft strands of hair.
jisung let out a soft, contented sigh, his breath warm against minho's neck. he tightened his hold around minho, as if seeking reassurance, comfort, anything to chase away the remnants of the bad day he'd been having.
