jisung's breathing was still unsteady as he lay on the bed staring up at the ceiling, trying to calm the frantic beat of his heart by forcing himself to breathe properly. each inhale came a little deeper than the last, each exhale slower, though it still felt like his chest was struggling to settle after everything.

the cool air in the room felt good against his flushed skin, causing faint shivers to run up his spine every few seconds. goosebumps rose along his arms despite the lingering warmth that clung to his body, and he let himself sink further into the mattress beneath him. the sheets were slightly tangled around his legs, soft against his skin, carrying the familiar scent of laundry detergent mixed with traces of minho's cologne.

the only light was coming from the fairy lights hanging above the bed and the lamp in the hallway slipping through the slightly ajar door. the golden glow painted soft shadows across the room, making everything feel quieter, calmer, almost dreamlike. outside, the apartment was silent, save for the distant hum of the refrigerator and the occasional creak from the old wooden floor.

he closed his eyes and let out a slow breath, his hand unconsciously moving to rest on his stomach. his fingers barely brushed his skin before he frowned when they made contact with the sticky layer left behind. he cringed at the feeling, his nose scrunching slightly, and quickly pulled his hand away with a quiet sigh.

he stayed there for another moment, simply listening to his own breathing, willing his heartbeat to return to normal. his muscles felt pleasantly heavy, every part of him exhausted enough that he could have fallen asleep right then if not for the uncomfortable feeling lingering against his skin.

footsteps echoed softly down the hallway toward the bedroom, unhurried and familiar. a moment later, more light spilled into the room as minho pushed the door open with his shoulder and walked in.

jisung managed to open his eyes and slowly turned his head to look at him. minho was wearing gray shorts and a black t-shirt now. jisung hadn't even noticed when minho had gotten dressed before leaving the room a few minutes earlier. his hair was still slightly messy, a few strands falling over his forehead, and he carried himself with the same calm expression that always managed to put jisung at ease.

their eyes met almost immediately.

minho offered him a small, gentle smile before quietly closing the door behind him with his foot, careful not to make unnecessary noise.

he walked closer and sat on the bed beside jisung's body, the mattress dipping beneath his weight. his movements were slow and careful, making sure not to jostle him too much. he looked down at jisung with such a soft expression that it made the corners of jisung's lips lift into a tired smile of his own.

without saying anything, minho reached forward.

he pressed the warm cloth to jisung's skin, something jisung hadn't even noticed minho was holding, and gently brushed away the mess. the warmth seeped into his skin immediately, the damp fabric soothing against the cooling air. minho's touch was light, patient, never hurried, taking his time as though there was nowhere else he'd rather be.

jisung felt his body relaxing under minho's touch. the last bit of tension slowly melted from his shoulders as he watched minho quietly clean him up, completely focused on him. soft breaths escaped jisung's lips, his eyelids growing heavier with every gentle pass of the cloth.
