- little space -it was a cozy saturday morning in minho and jisung's shared apartment, the kind of day where time seemed to stretch lazily, and the world outside could wait. the faint hum of rain pattered against the windows, a soothing soundtrack to their plans of staying in.
jisung had been clinging to minho like a little koala since they woke up. it was one of his "little days," as minho fondly called them, when jisung would slip into his little space, becoming the sweetest version of himself - soft, vulnerable, and needy.
minho lived for these moments, cherishing the trust jisung placed in him.
minho was stretched out on the couch, a blanket thrown over his legs.
jisung was tucked against his chest, small and warm, his cheek pressed to minho's shoulder.
"minmin..." jisung mumbled, rubbing his nose against minho's shirt. his voice was smaller, his words slightly slurred like a child's.
"what is it, baby?" minho responded, tilting his head to place a gentle kiss on jisung's forehead.
"love minmin," jisung said, his voice muffled but earnest.
minho's heart practically melted on the spot. "I love you too, sungie. so, so much," he cooed, punctuating his words with kisses - on jisung's forehead, his temple, his nose, and finally, his soft lips. each one earned him a sweet giggle from jisung, who squirmed happily in his arms.
"you warm," jisung murmured, nuzzling closer. "safe."
"you're my safe place too, angel," minho replied, threading his fingers through jisung's messy hair. "always."
they stayed like that for what felt like hours, with jisung occasionally squirming to reposition himself and minho indulging his every whim.
minho didn't mind one bit - jisung's clinginess was endearing, a reminder of how deeply they loved and trusted each other.
but as the day wore on, minho remembered he had something important to take care of. he had promised chan that he'd help troubleshoot some equipment for a project. minho glanced at the clock, noting the time, and sighed softly.
"sungie," he said gently, brushing his thumb across jisung's cheek. "baby, I need to go help chan for a bit, okay? I won't be long."
jisung's head snapped up, his big, round eyes already glistening with unshed tears. "no!" he protested, his voice trembling. "no go, minmin!"
minho's chest tightened. he hated seeing jisung upset, especially on his little days. "hey, hey," he soothed, cupping jisung's face with both hands. "baby, I promise it'll only be for a little while. I'll come back to you as soon as I'm done, okay?"
jisung shook his head vehemently, his lower lip quivering. "stay... min stay! need minmin!" he clung to minho's shirt with desperate fingers, burying his face in minho's chest as soft, heart-wrenching sobs escaped him.
minho's resolve crumbled in an instant. he pulled jisung closer, rubbing soothing circles on his back. "shh, my sweet boy. don't cry, please," he whispered, pressing kisses to the top of jisung's head. "I'm right here. I've got you."
jisung sniffled, clutching minho like he was afraid he'd disappear. "minmin no leave," he mumbled, his words barely coherent through his tears. "don't want... 'lone."
minho kissed the tears from jisung's cheeks, holding him as tightly as he could without hurting him. "I won't leave you alone, sungie. I'll make sure you're okay before I go. and I'll call you while I'm gone, okay? you can hear my voice the whole time."
jisung hesitated, his teary eyes searching minho's face for reassurance. "promise?"
"I promise, baby," minho said, his voice full of love. "cross my heart."
minho spent the next half hour comforting jisung, showering him with kisses and murmuring sweet nothings until the younger man's tears subsided.
when jisung seemed calmer, minho carefully tucked him into their bed, surrounding him with plushies and blankets.
"here," minho said, placing jisung's favourite stuffed bunny in his arms. "bunny will keep you company. and I'll be back before you know it."
jisung hugged the bunny tightly, his lips forming a small pout. "min come back fast?"
"as fast as I can," minho assured him, leaning down to kiss jisung's forehead. "you're my number one, sungie. always."
another ten minutes, at least, were spent with minho teaching jisung how to answer the phone: "press the green button, sungie. green, alright?" jisung had looked at him with those big, adorable eyes, and it seemed like he hadn't understood a single word. but they managed it in the end.
reluctantly, minho left, though his heart stayed with jisung the entire time. he kept his promise, calling jisung the moment he arrived at chan's, and jisung answered with an unsure "minmin?", not sure if minho was really on the phone.
they chatted while minho worked, with minho patiently answering every "minmin, when come back?" with soft reassurances.
when minho finally returned home, he was greeted by the sight of jisung still curled up in his cocoon of blankets and stuffed animals, clutching his bunny.
the moment jisung saw him, his face lit up like the sun breaking through storm clouds.
"minmin!" jisung cried, scrambling off the bed and running into minho's arms.
"hey, my baby," minho said, lifting jisung off the ground and spinning him around. "I missed you so much."
"missed min too," jisung said, his voice muffled as he buried his face in minho's neck. "don't go 'gain."
"I won't," minho promised, carrying jisung back to the bed.
he sat down with jisung in his lap, cradling him like the most precious thing in the world. "I'm all yours now, sungie."
jisung looked up at him with wide, trusting eyes. "forever?"
"forever and always," minho said, sealing his words with a kiss to jisung's forehead. "you're my everything, sungie. my whole world."
jisung smiled, his earlier sadness forgotten as he snuggled closer to minho. "love minmin."
"and I love you, my sweet angel," minho replied, holding jisung like he'd never let him go.
