-------------------jisung had never been more embarrassed in his life.
the café was warm and cozy, filled with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the quiet hum of conversations.
jisung, wearing a green apron over his simple shirt, stood behind the counter, nervously tugging at the edges of the menu card. it was an ordinary day until minho walked in.
tall, confident, and devastatingly handsome, minho seemed to radiate warmth despite the cold air clinging to his black coat.
jisung, busy trying to rearrange the pastries in the display, froze mid-action when he saw him.
his heart stuttered as his eyes travelled from minho's soft, dark eyes to the slight smirk on his lips. it wasn't just his sharp jawline or the effortless way he carried himself - though those were definite highlights - but something about the way minho had smirked at him made jisung's stomach flip .
that smirk had also reminded jisung of reality because he realized with a start that minho had been standing in front of him for god knows how long, waiting to order his drink.
"excuse me?"
the low, teasing voice broke through jisung's daze, and his cheeks turned a fiery red when he realized minho talking to him. "oh! hi- hello! welcome! what can I get for you?" his words came out in a rushed jumble, and minho chuckled softly.
"just a black coffee, please," minho replied, his tone calm and kind, yet there was an amused glint in his eye.
jisung fumbled through the process, his hands trembling as he prepared the coffee. the slight smirk never left minho's face, and when jisung finally handed the cup to him, their fingers brushed for the briefest moment.
it left jisung's heart racing, and minho's eyes lingered just long enough to leave a mark.

from that day on, minho became a regular at the cafe. he'd always take a corner seat and watch jisung scurry around, too busy to notice the way minho's gaze softened every time it landed on him.
slowly, minho began to strike up conversations - short, casual exchanges that made jisung's heart skip and his cheeks flush.
one chilly evening, minho finally worked up the courage to ask him out. "jisung, are you free tomorrow evening?" he asked, sliding his coffee cup closer to the edge of the counter.
jisung, mid-wipe of the counter, froze. "m-me? tomorrow? uh, yes, I think I'm free."
minho grinned. "great. let me take you to dinner. I'll pick you up at seven."
jisung's mind was a whirlwind of panic and excitement, but he managed to squeak out a breathless "okay."
✮✮✮
their first date was nothing short of magical, albeit chaotic. jisung's nervousness was palpable; he stuttered through conversations, his flushed cheeks on full display.
"you don't have to be so nervous, sweetheart," minho said gently, his hand brushing against jisung's on the table.
"I'm sorry, minho-hyung," jisung mumbled, his voice small.
minho chuckled and reached across the table to hold jisung's hand. "don't apologize, baby. it's endearing."
jisung's eyes widened at the endearment, and minho's heart melted a little more.
