--------------------it was a quiet sunday morning when minho stirred first. the soft light of dawn barely peeked through the curtains, casting a golden hue across the room. he blinked a few times, taking in the serene sight next to him.
jisung was still deep in sleep, his cheek pressed into the pillow, his lips slightly parted, his soft brown hair a bit messy but endearing.
minho smiled to himself. even after all this time, the sight of jisung like this made his chest feel warm.
careful not to disturb him, minho stayed still for a moment longer, tracing the curve of jisung's face with his eyes.
but then, the temptation to touch him won out. he gently brushed a strand of hair from jisung's forehead.
almost instantly, jisung stirred, his eyes fluttering open slowly.
"morning," jisung mumbled, his voice still raspy with sleep.
"morning, pretty," minho said softly, his fingers still lingering in jisung's hair.
jisung's lips twitched into a sleepy smile. "you're starting the day with compliments, huh? dangerous." he rolled onto his side, tucking himself into minho's arms.
"just stating facts," minho shrugged, pressing a soft kiss to jisung's forehead. "now, come on. let's get up. breakfast time."
reluctantly, jisung let himself be pulled out of bed, though he never let go of minho's hand.
they shuffled to the kitchen together, still wrapped in that comfortable sleepiness that only lazy mornings allow.
minho took charge, making simple toast with eggs and cutting up fruit, while jisung leaned against the counter, watching him fondly.
"you're so domestic," jisung teased, picking a grape from the fruit bowl and popping it into his mouth.
"someone has to make sure you don't live off snacks," minho retorted. he set their plates on the table, pulling out a chair for jisung.
they ate together in peaceful silence, their knees brushing under the table. after breakfast, they spent a couple of hours curled up on the couch watching a drama.
jisung insisted they needed to catch up on the latest episodes, though he spent more time curled against minho's side, commenting on the plot, than actually watching.
when lunchtime rolled around, minho stood in the kitchen again, this time preparing something a bit more elaborate - pasta with cream sauce.
jisung wandered in, wrapping his arms around minho from behind. he rested his chin on minho's shoulder, swaying them gently.
"you smell nice," jisung said, pressing a kiss to minho's temple.
"do I smell better than the pasta?" minho asked with a smirk.
"hmm, tough competition," jisung murmured, kissing his cheek next. then his nose. then his forehead. finally, he turned minho's face slightly and kissed his lips, soft and sweet.
minho chuckled against his mouth. "what was that for?"
"just wanted to remind you how much I love you," jisung said, grinning.
minho's eyes softened. "well, I love you, too. but now you've distracted me. the pasta's almost done."
they ate lunch together at the dining table, chatting about everything and nothing.
afterward, they decided to bake cookies - mostly because jisung wanted something sweet.
the kitchen turned into a bit of a disaster, with flour ending up everywhere and jisung attempting to steal chocolate chips when he thought minho wasn't looking.
by dinner, they were both a little tired but content. minho threw together something simple - ramyeon - and they ate it while sitting on the living room floor, legs tangled together.
later that night, after dinner and some playful bickering over which movie to watch, they finally settled on a lighthearted romantic comedy.
they sprawled out on the bed, the movie playing in the background while they made their own quiet conversation.
minho lay on his back, one arm tucked behind his head, while jisung rested his head on minho's chest, drawing lazy circles with his fingers.
"today was nice," jisung said softly.
"every day with you is nice," minho responded without missing a beat.
jisung lifted his head to look at him, raising an eyebrow. "flirty tonight, aren't we?"
minho smirked. "just telling the truth."
they fell into a comfortable silence again. the movie's soft soundtrack filled the room, but neither was paying attention to it anymore.
jisung propped himself up on his elbow, his eyes searching minho's face.
"hey," jisung whispered. "say it again."
"say what?"
"you know."
minho chuckled, brushing his thumb over jisung's cheek. "I love you."
jisung's eyes sparkled with mischief. "prove it," he said. "scream it to the world."
minho didn't hesitate. he leaned in close, his lips brushing just beside jisung's ear. "I love you," he whispered, voice deep and steady.
jisung blinked, caught off guard. he pulled back slightly, a confused smile on his lips. "why did you whisper it to me?"
minho's expression softened. "because," he said quietly, "you're my world."
jisung's breath hitched, his eyes filling with tears, shining under the soft light. he tried to blink them away, but a few slipped down his cheeks anyway.
"hey, don't cry," minho whispered, pulling jisung into his arms. "you're too pretty to cry."
"I'm not crying," jisung sniffed, burying his face in minho's chest. "it's just... you're so unfair."
minho chuckled, holding him tighter. "unfair how?"
"you always say the perfect thing," jisung muttered. "it makes me feel like I'm gonna melt."
"well," minho said softly, pressing a kiss to the top of jisung's head, "then I'll just hold you together."
jisung's chest felt too full, overflowing with everything minho made him feel. without thinking, he grabbed minho's face and kissed him - deep and unhurried, pouring every ounce of love into that kiss.
when they broke apart, jisung rested his forehead against minho's, eyes closed. "you're dangerous, you know that?" he murmured.
"dangerously in love with you," minho teased, his lips curling into a playful grin.
jisung groaned. "you're lucky I love you so much."
"I know," minho said, wrapping his arms around him. "I love you too, more than anything."
they stayed like that for a while - wrapped up in each other, their hearts speaking in a language only they understood.
eventually, jisung yawned, his eyes fluttering shut as he nestled into minho's arms again.
minho pulled the blanket up over both of them, brushing one last kiss against jisung's temple. "sweet dreams, pretty."
jisung fell asleep like that - safe and loved, wrapped in minho's arms, his world and everything in it.
