jisung had noticed it long ago, the way minho's gaze lingered on the pandora bracelets whenever they passed by the store at the mall.

it was a subtle thing, the way his boyfriend's eyes softened ever so slightly, his lips pressed together in an almost wistful expression. minho always dismissed it, though.

"they're for girls," he had scoffed the last time jisung brought it up, his cheeks slightly pink.

"min, jewellery doesn't have a gender. anyone can wear them," jisung had countered gently, trying to coax him into admitting his interest.

but minho had waved him off, his usual mask of nonchalance slipping into place. "I don't need something like that."

still, jisung knew better. he had memorized every little nuance of minho's expressions, the way he fiddled with his fingers whenever he was trying to hide something. minho wanted one of those bracelets, even if he was too proud - or too shy - to admit it.

so jisung decided to take matters into his own hands.

the plan had been simple enough: sneak out to the mall, pick out a bracelet and a charm, and surprise minho with it. it was a daunting task, though, because he wanted it to be perfect.

jisung spent nearly an hour in the store, his eyes scanning the array of sparkling, delicate jewellery before finally settling on a sleek silver bracelet. it was understated yet elegant - just like minho.

the charm was harder to choose. did he go for something cute, like a cat to remind minho of his beloved pets? or something meaningful, like a heart to symbolize their relationship?

eventually, he settled on a small, intricately detailed moon charm. it reminded him of the nights they spent curled up on the couch, the soft glow of the moonlight illuminating minho's peaceful face as he slept against jisung's shoulder.

with the bracelet and charm carefully wrapped in a box, jisung practically skipped out of the mall, his heart bursting with anticipation.

now, standing in front of minho's apartment, jisung felt a nervous excitement bubbling in his chest. he tapped his foot impatiently, clutching the small box tightly in his hands.

when the door finally opened, jisung was greeted by the sight of a half-asleep minho, his dark hair sticking out in every direction. he was wearing an oversized hoodie that hung off one shoulder, and his eyes were barely open as he rubbed one with the back of his hand.

"hi, min," jisung greeted softly, his heart melting at the sight. without thinking, he leaned in and pressed a kiss to minho's cheek.

minho's lips curved into a sleepy smile as he stepped aside to let jisung in. "morning, baby."

"it's evening," jisung teased as he stepped into the apartment, kicking off his shoes.

"whatever," minho mumbled, closing the door behind him.

jisung turned to face him, his gaze softening. "you look adorable," he said, wrapping his arms around minho and pulling him into a warm hug.

minho sighed contentedly, resting his chin on jisung's shoulder as he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist. "what are you doing here?" he mumbled, his voice muffled against jisung's hoodie.

"I have something for you," jisung replied, unable to hide the excitement in his voice.

minho pulled back slightly, his brows furrowed in confusion. "huh? what do you mean?"

jisung reached up and cupped minho's face with one hand, his thumb brushing gently against his cheek. "I got you something, baby."

"you didn't have to do that," minho said, though his voice softened at the gesture.

"I wanted to," jisung insisted. "now, sit down."

...
minho allowed himself to be guided to the couch, still half-dazed from sleep. jisung sat beside him, the small box clutched in his hands.

"close your eyes," jisung instructed.

minho gave him a sceptical look but complied, closing his eyes and holding out his hands. jisung placed the box in his palms and sat back, biting his lip in anticipation.

"okay, you can open them now," he said.

minho opened his eyes and blinked down at the box. "what's this?"

"just open it," jisung urged, practically bouncing in his seat.

minho hesitated for a moment before carefully undoing the ribbon and lifting the lid. his eyes widened as he took in the sight of the bracelet, the silver gleaming softly under the warm light of the room. the moon charm dangled delicately, catching the light in a way that made it almost glow.

"jisung..." minho's voice was barely above a whisper as he stared at the bracelet.

"I noticed you looking at these every time we went to the mall," jisung said softly. "I know you said they're 'for girls,' but that's not true. anyone can wear them, min. and I thought this one would look perfect on you."

minho's fingers trembled as he lifted the bracelet from the box. "it's... beautiful," he said, his voice thick with emotion.

"do you like it?" jisung asked, suddenly nervous.

minho looked up at him, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I love it," he said, his voice cracking slightly. "I love you."

jisung's heart swelled at the sight. he leaned forward and cupped minho's face in both hands, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "I love you too, min," he murmured.

minho pulled him into a tight hug, burying his face in jisung's shoulder. "thank you," he whispered. "I didn't think... I mean, I always wanted one, but I was too embarrassed to say anything."

"you don't have to be embarrassed about what you like," jisung said gently, running his fingers through minho's hair. "you deserve to have nice things, min. and I'll always do my best to give them to you."

minho pulled back just enough to look at jisung, his lips curving into a soft smile. "you're the best," he said, his voice filled with affection.

jisung grinned. "I try."

minho chuckled as he carefully slipped it onto his wrist, adjusting the clasp with slightly trembling hands. when he finally managed to fasten it, he held out his wrist, admiring the way it fit perfectly. "it's perfect," he said. "you're perfect."

jisung leaned in and pressed a kiss to the side of minho's head. "no, you are," he said softly.

for the rest of the evening, minho couldn't stop looking at his wrist, a soft smile playing on his lips every time he caught sight of the bracelet. and jisung couldn't stop watching minho, his heart swelling with love every time he saw the happiness in his boyfriend's eyes.
