the morning light poured through the blinds of their shared apartment, bathing the bedroom in a soft, golden glow.

minho stirred awake, stretching his arms lazily over his head and blinking away the last remnants of sleep.

beside him, jisung was already awake, curled up into a small ball with his plushie tucked tightly in his arms.

his face was soft, serene, and entirely childlike in a way that made minho's heart melt.

"good morning, sunshine," minho murmured, voice still husky from sleep as he reached out to brush a stray lock of hair from jisung's eyes.

jisung blinked up at him, his lips parting in a sweet little pout. "min-min," he whispered, his voice high and shy, his usual playful tone replaced with the soft cadence of his little self.

minho smiled, leaning down to press a tender kiss to jisung's forehead. "hi, baby. did you sleep well?"

jisung nodded, his head bobbing in tiny, quick movements. he clutched his plushie closer, nuzzling his face into it for a moment before peeking back up at minho. "hung'y..." he mumbled.

"alright, let's get you fed," minho said gently, sliding out of bed. he held out a hand for jisung, who eagerly reached for it with both hands, letting minho guide him up.

the younger boy waddled after him, still clutching his plushie and clinging to minho's hand like it was his lifeline.

-
in the kitchen, minho set jisung up at the table, giving him his favourite sippy cup filled with juice. jisung giggled happily, grasping it with both hands and sipping noisily while minho worked on making breakfast.

"do you want pancakes or eggs, baby?" minho asked over his shoulder.

"'cakes!" jisung chirped, clapping his hands together.

minho chuckled, flipping the pancakes with ease. he placed a plate in front of jisung a few minutes later, carefully cutting the pancakes into bite-sized pieces and drizzling just the right amount of syrup on top.

"here you go, sweet pea," minho said, ruffling jisung's hair before sitting down beside him.

jisung beamed, picking up his fork and digging in. minho watched him with fond amusement, taking bites of his own food in between, making sure jisung didn't get syrup all over himself.

after breakfast, minho cleaned up while jisung played with his blocks in the living room. he was sitting cross-legged on the floor, his plushie still beside him as he concentrated on stacking the colourful blocks into a precarious tower.

"careful, bunny," minho said softly, crouching down next to him.

jisung looked up, his wide eyes sparkling. "it goin' tall, min-min!" he exclaimed proudly.

"it's very tall," minho agreed, smiling at him. "want me to help you make it even taller?"

jisung nodded enthusiastically, scooting closer to minho and handing him a block. together, they built the tower as high as they could, jisung's giggles filling the room whenever it wobbled dangerously.

when it finally toppled over, jisung let out a delighted squeal, clapping his hands. "boom!"

minho laughed, pulling jisung into a hug. "you're too cute, bunny," he said, pressing a kiss to the top of jisung's head.

-
the rest of the morning passed in a blur of playtime and cuddles. jisung stayed glued to minho's side, constantly reaching for his hand or tugging on his sleeve whenever he wanted attention.

minho was more than happy to oblige, showering jisung with kisses and soft words that made the younger boy glow with happiness.

after lunch, minho decided to take jisung to the park. he helped him put on his sneakers and a warm jacket, making sure the hood was pulled up snugly over his head.

"ready, sunshine?" minho asked, holding out his hand.

jisung nodded, slipping his small hand into minho's and clutching it tightly as they walked to the nearby park.

the crisp afternoon air was refreshing, and jisung's excitement was palpable as they reached the playground.

"go play, baby," minho encouraged, smiling as jisung scampered off toward the swings. he followed closely behind, giving jisung a gentle push on the swing and laughing along with him as he soared higher and higher.

"min-min, look! I flyin'!" jisung exclaimed, his face lit up with pure joy.

"you're flying so high, bunny!" minho praised, his heart swelling at the sight of jisung's happiness.

after the swings, they explored the rest of the playground together. jisung clambered up the jungle gym with minho's steady hands guiding him, slid down the slide with a delighted squeal, and even convinced minho to join him on the seesaw.

by the time they left the park, jisung was clinging to minho's hand, yawning softly as his energy began to wane.

minho carried him the rest of the way home, pressing kisses to jisung's forehead and murmuring soothing words to keep him content.

back at the apartment, minho settled jisung on the couch with a blanket and his favourite cartoon. he made them both a snack - apple slices for jisung and a cup of tea for himself - before curling up beside the younger boy.

"thank you, min-min," jisung mumbled around a mouthful of apple, leaning his head against minho's shoulder.

"you're welcome, baby," minho replied, wrapping an arm around jisung and holding him close.

as the afternoon turned into evening, jisung stayed in his little space, content to cuddle with minho and watch cartoons. minho didn't mind at all; he loved seeing jisung so carefree and happy.

when it was time for bed, minho helped jisung get changed into his pyjamas, brushing his teeth for him and tucking him into bed with his plushie.

but as they settled into bed together, jisung shifted slightly in minho's arms. the soft, childlike haze that had clouded his eyes all day began to fade, replaced with clarity and a bashful smile.

"I think I'm back now, hyung," he whispered, his tone soft but no longer laced with the innocence of his little space.

minho pulled back slightly to meet his gaze, his own smile gentle. "hi, love. feeling better?"

jisung nodded, his face turning pink as he glanced down at the plushie still in his arms. "thank you... for everything today. you're so good to me, minho. I don't know what I'd do without you."

minho's heart swelled at the sincerity in jisung's voice. he cupped jisung's cheek, brushing his thumb over the smooth skin there. "you don't have to thank me, sunshine. taking care of you is my favourite thing to do."

jisung's eyes softened, and he leaned in to press a lingering kiss to minho's lips. "I love you," he murmured when he pulled back, his voice full of warmth and gratitude.

"I love you too, baby," minho replied, tucking jisung securely against his chest. he kissed the top of jisung's head, letting his hand stroke soothingly through the younger's hair.

as jisung relaxed completely in his arms, minho couldn't help but feel incredibly grateful for moments like these. whether jisung was little or big, he was still the sweetest sunshine in minho's life, and minho would always be there to keep that light shining bright.
