the sun shone brightly over the sprawling amusement park, casting golden rays over the colorful stalls and spinning rides. a light breeze carried the mingled scents of cotton candy, buttery popcorn, and grilled hot dogs, adding to the lively atmosphere.

minho adjusted his cap and turned to his boyfriend, jisung, who was bouncing lightly on the balls of his feet, eyes wide with excitement.

jisung's energy was almost palpable, his bright eyes darting from one attraction to the next, a constant stream of chatter spilling from his lips. "hyung! look at that roller coaster! oh, and that ferris wheel! can we go on the bumper cars? no, wait, the haunted house first! ah, but maybe we should-"

"han jisung, you're worse than a kid," minho teased, a fond smile curling his lips.

jisung pouted, but it lasted only a moment before his excitement bubbled over again. "can you blame me? it's an amusement park! how am I supposed to stay calm?" he beamed up at minho, his smile so wide it made minho's heart ache in the best way.

"you're too cute for your own good," minho murmured, leaning down to plant a soft kiss on jisung's temple. "alright, lead the way, sunshine."

behind them, chan and changbin trailed along, already engaged in one of their usual bickering sessions.

"you didn't need to bring a backpack full of snacks, changbin," chan said, rolling his eyes.

"it's called being prepared! what if we're stuck in a two-hour line with nothing to eat?" changbin retorted, hugging his backpack defensively.

"let's just go on the roller coaster before I lose my mind," minho said, steering jisung toward the towering ride that had caught his boyfriend's eye earlier.

the day unfolded in a whirlwind of laughter, screams, and way too much junk food. they had just exited the haunted house when changbin, as usual, made an offhand comment.

"you seriously think ghosts need romantic relationships?" chan asked, incredulous.

"why not?" changbin shot back. "maybe that's why they haunt people - to find their soulmate."

chan groaned loudly. "I regret bringing you here."

minho turned his head and smirked. "I regret bringing both of you. can we focus on having fun instead of discussing ghost dating strategies?"

"minho, you know I'm right," changbin said, trying to keep a straight face but failing as chan rolled his eyes dramatically.

"oh my god, changbin," minho groaned, throwing his hands in the air. "can you stop being so ridiculous for five seconds?"

as minho turned to scold him, his hand briefly slipped from jisung's. he didn't notice it at first - he was too busy glaring at changbin - but when he turned back to his boyfriend, his heart dropped.

"jisung?" minho's voice was sharp, panic creeping into his tone. he spun around, scanning the crowd, but jisung was nowhere in sight. "jisung!"

chan's expression shifted instantly, his joking demeanor replaced by concern. "what's wrong?" he asked, his smile falling as he noticed minho's expression.

"jisung's gone," minho's voice was tight, panic bubbling in his chest. "he was just here. I turned for five seconds-"

"he can't have gone far," chan said, though even he looked worried now. "let's spread out and look."
