snow blanketed the streets outside the cozy apartment where minho and jisung had been living together for the past few months.

their first christmas together in their own space had filled the air with an electric mix of excitement and warmth.

the scent of cinnamon and nutmeg drifted from the kitchen where minho had earlier baked cookies, now arranged on a plate atop their small dining table.

fairy lights twinkled across the living room, their soft glow casting playful shadows on the walls. the christmas tree stood tall, decorated in mismatched ornaments - some from their childhoods, others bought together during their first shopping trip as a couple.

minho was lounging on the couch, his legs stretched out, wearing a cozy sweater jisung had insisted on buying him, one that had a ridiculous cartoon reindeer on it.

he looked up when jisung walked out of the bedroom, having changed into his favourite oversized hoodie, paired with fluffy socks that made minho smile every time he saw them.

"finally," minho teased, patting the space next to him. "I was starting to think you were never coming back."

jisung rolled his eyes but smiled. "I was trying to find the other sock," he explained, holding up one foot. "they always disappear like magic."

"maybe it's santa taking them," minho replied, his tone deadpan but his lips twitching with amusement. "he's gotta keep his elves warm."

jisung laughed, his cheeks puffing out slightly as he crossed the room to sit next to minho. "that's the worst theory I've ever heard."

"prove me wrong," minho shot back, wrapping an arm around jisung and pulling him closer. "anyway, you're warm enough now."

jisung leaned into minho's side, resting his head against his shoulder. it was moments like these, simple and easy, that made him realize how much he adored minho. he felt safe, always, when minho was near. more than safe - he felt loved.

"did you finish wrapping the presents?" jisung asked softly, his gaze flickering to the tree.

"of course," minho replied, pressing a kiss to the top of jisung's head. "I even used the fancy ribbon you picked out."

"you mean the one you complained about because it was glittery and got everywhere?"

"exactly. you're worth a little glitter, though."

jisung giggled, his face warming. "you're such a liar."

"nope," minho said, looking down at him with a grin. "I'm just an excellent boyfriend."

jisung couldn't argue with that. minho was an excellent boyfriend - thoughtful, attentive, and always knowing just what jisung needed, even when jisung himself didn't.

it was one of the reasons jisung had been thinking about tonight for weeks. he'd never felt more ready to take this next step with someone than he did with minho.

"minho," he said quietly after a moment.

"hm?" minho hummed, his fingers lazily tracing patterns on jisung's arm.
