●mafia au / tw: blood, weapons -
minho never thought he could get used to waking up with someone beside him. he had spent years alone, his life filled with power struggles and bloodshed, where warmth was a foreign concept, something he neither had time for nor wanted.
but jisung changed everything.
every morning, minho woke up to find jisung curled up beside him, his soft breaths steady against his chest.
the first few nights, jisung had been restless - flinching in his sleep, haunted by the memories of his kidnapping.
but minho had been there every time, pulling him closer, whispering quiet reassurances until jisung finally relaxed against him.
and minho realized something terrifying.
he liked taking care of jisung.
he liked holding him at night, making him breakfast in the morning, watching the way jisung's eyes lit up whenever minho did something small - like handing him a cup of coffee before he even asked.
he liked the way jisung fit so perfectly against him, like he was always meant to be there.
he liked him.
more than he should.
more than he ever thought possible.

one morning, minho woke up before jisung, the golden sunlight filtering through the sheer curtains, casting a warm glow over the room.
jisung was still asleep, his face tucked against minho's shoulder, his lips slightly parted. his hair was a mess, his fingers curled loosely against minho's chest.
minho just looked at him.
how had this happened? how had someone like him - cold, ruthless, feared - ended up with someone like jisung?
he didn't deserve this.
but god, he didn't want to let it go.
jisung shifted slightly, murmuring something incoherent in his sleep before his lashes fluttered open. his eyes were still heavy with sleep as he blinked up at minho, confusion flickering across his face before his lips curled into a small, sleepy smile.
"morning..." jisung's voice was soft, groggy.
minho smirked, running his fingers gently through jisung's hair. "morning, sunshine."
jisung scrunched his nose at the nickname but didn't protest. instead, he buried his face deeper against minho's chest, sighing in contentment. "too early..."
minho chuckled, his fingers tracing lazy circles against jisung's back. "it's almost noon."
jisung groaned dramatically, refusing to move. "don't care. stay here."
minho raised a brow. "oh? since when do you give me orders?"
jisung peeked up at him with a playful pout. "since you kidnapped me."
minho rolled his eyes, his hand sliding down to rest on jisung's waist. "technically, that was a mistake. but you're still here, aren't you?"
jisung hummed, playing with the fabric of minho's shirt. "maybe I want to be."
