the early afternoon sun filtered through the lace curtains of the café, painting gentle shadows on honey-colored wood floors. the air was laced with the rich scent of roasted coffee beans and freshly baked croissants, creating a warmth that wrapped around every person who walked through the door.

the café was a hidden gem - small, with books stacked in corners and soft jazz playing from a dusty speaker. it was the kind of place where time seemed to slow, and where people came not just for coffee, but for comfort.

behind the counter, minho moved with quiet grace, pouring espresso into a ceramic cup with practiced ease. he wore a soft cream sweater beneath his café-issued apron, sleeves pushed up just enough to reveal the faint curve of his forearms. his dark hair was slightly tousled, as if he'd run a hand through it one too many times. his eyes, kind and bright even in the soft café lighting, crinkled at the corners when he smiled. and when he did smile - really smiled - it had the kind of effect that made people stop mid-sentence. it lit him up from the inside out.

minho wasn't loud or flashy. he didn't need to be. his warmth came in the form of remembering your name after one visit, of slipping a little heart into the foam of your latte, of humming softly under his breath while wiping down tables.

the regulars loved him. his coworkers adored him. and if you asked any of them what made this café feel like home, they'd all say the same thing: minho.

it was just another quiet tuesday afternoon. the lull between lunch and the after-school rush. the sun was shifting lower, casting golden lines across the tables. minho was wiping down the espresso machine, lost in the rhythm of his task, when the little bell above the café door chimed.

he looked up - and his entire face transformed.

jisung stood in the doorway, a little breathless from the breeze outside, his dark brown hair a bit windswept, cheeks rosy from the cold. he had his hands in his jacket pockets and a sheepish, excited smile on his face. the kind of smile that always made minho's heart do a little skip.

"hi, baby," jisung said with a soft grin, voice slightly breathless.

minho's eyes widened, and then softened so tenderly it almost hurt. "jisung?" he breathed, blinking as if he couldn't quite believe it.

across the café, minho's coworkers perked up. one of them grinned knowingly, nudging another in the side. "he's here," someone whispered, smirking as they glanced at minho's rapidly reddening ears.

jisung walked up to the counter, gaze never leaving minho. "missed you," he said simply. "thought I'd surprise my favourite barista."

minho's hands were trembling just slightly as he set down the cloth, a shy smile tugging at his lips. "you really didn't have to..."

"I really did," jisung interrupted softly, reaching out across the counter to lightly touch minho's fingers. "how could I not come see my sweetheart when he's been working so hard?"

that earned them another round of not-so-subtle grins from the other baristas.

minho ducked his head, flustered, but he didn't pull away. "you're impossible," he mumbled, his voice so full of love it melted right into the steam curling from the coffee machines.

"but I'm your impossible," jisung said, leaning closer with a boyish smile. "aren't I, lovebug?"

minho looked up then, eyes sparkling. "you're ridiculous," he murmured, cheeks still tinted pink, "but yes... you're mine."

jisung's grin widened. "now, is it against café policy to kiss the husband of the barista on duty?"

"yes," one of the baristas behind minho quipped, "but we'll allow it just this once."

laughter rippled through the room, light and full of affection. minho rolled his eyes affectionately and stepped out from behind the counter, wiping his hands on his apron as he walked around. he stopped in front of jisung, who tilted his head and looked at him like he was seeing the sun for the first time.

"I only get a short break," minho murmured, voice barely audible over the soft jazz.

"I only need a short kiss," jisung replied.

minho huffed a breathy laugh and leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to jisung's lips. it was soft, lingering, familiar. the kind of kiss that didn't demand attention, but wrapped around your ribs and stayed there.

when they pulled apart, jisung whispered, "god, I love you, sweetheart."

minho's eyes were shimmering again, that bright light still dancing there. "I love you too, sungie."

jisung reached up to cup his cheek briefly before minho returned behind the counter, cheeks still flushed but smile fully bloomed.

"take a seat," minho called gently. "I'll bring you something warm."

"I'll take whatever my husband recommends," jisung said, already moving to his usual spot by the window.

minho made the drink with extra care - jisung's favourite hazelnut latte, with a generous dollop of cream and a swirl of caramel on top. as he placed it on the tray, he added a little cookie on the side, just the way jisung liked it.

he walked it over himself, placing it gently on the table.

"for you, jagi," minho said, smiling shyly.

jisung looked up at him with stars in his eyes. "you're the sweetest thing in this room," he said, taking minho's hand again. "I hope you know that."

minho's coworkers watched from the counter, hearts full, and one of them whispered, "god, they're like a hallmark movie."

and maybe they were.

because in that cozy little café, full of cinnamon and sunlight, two souls in love found another moment to wrap around each other. minho, with his soft smiles and kind eyes. jisung, with his loud affection and never-ending pet names. the world could be loud and messy - but here, in this warm bubble of quiet love and espresso, everything felt perfect.

hi loveliess ^^

I promise I'm working on those requests, but I wanna make them long, so that's why they are taking so long.

I'm just a bit stressed now because of my exams and driving lessons (my friends too because they are lowkey fake friends but anyway that's not important)

I hope you have nothing to stress about and just enjoy your days without stress because I hate being stressed.

anyway, take care of yourself ^^

love u
