Look into the mirror. What do you see? You see the way your thighs rub together. You see the way your jeans dig into your sides and the way your stomach hangs over the waist of your pants. You see the way your teeth don't go in a straight line. You see the way your nose curls up a little at the end. You see the way your ears peek out from behind your hair. You see the way your skin has bumps and crevices and isn't smooth and clear. You see the disappointed look in your eyes. They're looking at this imperfect figure in the mirror. You hate what you see. But why do you hate it? What are you comparing yourself to? The girl with the flat stomach? The girl with the perfect teeth? The girl is the perfect nose or the girl with ears that don't stick out behind her hair? The girl with the perfect skin? To who? Why do you compare yourself to somebody else? Why don't you like what you see in the mirror? Did somebody make you feel like you weren't good enough? Why can't you love yourself? What do you think would happen if you looked beyond your physical characteristics? What would you see? Would you see the way your mind spins with stars? Would you see how genuinely you love and care towards others? Would you see how many people are captivated by your electric personality? Would you see all the beauty within yourself? Probably not. Why is that? Why do you only see the little things you hate about yourself? What does perfect even mean? What are these standards society has created? Everyone has flaws. Learn to love yourself and the people around you. Don't try to fit into the boundaries of society
