1. The way people act toward you is a reflection of their character, not yours. React (or don't) accordingly.
2. It's a bad day, not a bad life.
3. You are more fortunate than billions of people, but your problems are still valid. Everyone has their own battle to fight, so don't make it more difficult on anyone - especially yourself.
4. Be kind to everyone. Trust very few.
5. Find a sport or hobby you love and embrace it. Be passionate about something. Be proud of what you're able to do.
6. Happiness is a choice. It's harder to choose on some days, but the option is always there.
7. You are not obligated to explain yourself to anyone.
8. Odds are, that boy won't remember you a few months from now. Your friends will remember if you ditched them for him, though.
9. Reward yourself sometimes.
10. It's not uncool or lame to be smart. If you make bad grades on purpose, you will regret it one day.
11. High school popularity is so incredibly stupid. If they aren't your friends, why does it matter if they think you're cool?
12. Your parents are trying their hardest, and they want the best for you. Show them you appreciate them.
13. Treat everyone as if this will be the last time you ever speak to them.
14. Smile often.
15. Hate is a strong word. It's an exhausting emotion. Don't waste your energy on hating people or things.
16. Everything will be okay.
