1. Every time you feel like dissecting your veins, grab a bottle of bright pink paint and doodle all over your body with it. Draw smiley faces, or write song lyrics. Just cover yourself with something positive so you don't do something destructive.
2. Keep your iPod by your bed, so when you wake up and feel like you can't do it anymore, you can blast Katy Perry, or Blink 182, or whatever makes you happy, play whatever makes you feel powerful enough to get out of bed and live a little.
3. Remember that a scale is just an object, stop letting it take up so much room in your beautiful mind. When you feel like skipping meals, don't. Your body needs you to eat, your mother needs you to eat, your little sister needs you to eat. So, stop giving into your demons, and start fighting them. You're strong enough, you just have to try.
4. When you see the one who broke your heart, make subtle eye contact and give a light smile but then keep walking. It ended, and it ended for a reason. Don't let one person be the control of your happiness. I know you feel like your heart is gone but it's not, it's still there darling, beating like a goddamn drum.
