And I thought that if I waited long enough, by the time we got back around to each other, we'd be all teeth and tight cheeks from smiling so damn hard because, hey, it's nice to see you again. Nobody ever talks about the things that happen when too much time passes though. They don't tell you that people get tired of waiting. People get tired of feeling weighed down by the emptiness you left that night when you asked for a little bit of time to think. (Let's take a break.) They don't tell you everything changes. They tell you to take all the time you need, figure out if this is what you want, mold yourself into whatever the hell version of you fits best with him, but by the time you get back, by the time it takes for you to shape yourself into everything he asked you to be, he'll have changed too.
