"Infiltration..." I pull at the iron gates of the Labor Camp, being careful that the loud jingling does not alert any guards, if there are any at all. "Ninety-nine...point nine percent..." You think they would've given me something that can break a lock, or something to climb over the gate with, or anything to break the gate with...but no. "How useless is this rebellion...?" Despite the area having...a wealth of greenery, there were no trees that could've been used to climb over the massive gate. Emphasis on massive, this thing is almost as tall as the Basilicom walls! "The hell is this, a labor camp?! Oh wait..." I could walk all the way back to the suspicious ice cream truck parked a mile back...or I could just wait here until someone opens the gate... I feel like I would have a better chance with the ladder. Speaking of ladder... 'I wonder if they'd fall for the classic 'mailman' trick...do they even get mail here?' I grab at the iron bars of the gate again in frustration. "Where was the plan in this~?!" The iron bars bend in my hands, as the bars push to the side making an opening big enough for me to fit. "...That was convenient..." I quickly slip past the gate and into the facility.
(Sometime later)
"$#!%!" I dive behind the corner as guards run past, trying to catch my breath before more guards turned the corner. "What the hell, Adolpha?! If I get out of here I am hanging you by the collar!"
(Earlier)
I peek into the main facility's chamber, which was currently filled with prisoners doing all sorts of things. There were some running on a watermill, some picking up cannonballs and moving them a few feet, there were even people turning cranks on a drum. There were railings and platforms on the edges of the room near the ceiling, where several guards were positioned. How I knew they were guards, is because of their cult looking uniforms and masks with the Hearts symbol on it. Their weapons were all out of sight, and are most likely tucked away in case of confrontation. I slowly go to leave the room, just as my IPod Touch starts ringing loudly, with the message 'Good news, I figured out how to connect to your device' scrolling across the screen, proceeded by a winky-face. Immediately, all of the guards on the railings above drew their guns and aimed straight towards me, with several others on ground level charging straight towards me.
(Where were we?)
I dive behind the corner as guards run past, trying to catch my breath before more guards turned the corner. "What the hell, Adolpha?! If I get out of here I am hanging you by the collar!" I take out my BoneBlade and quickly swipe across the first guard's throat, but I've played enough D&D to know where this is going. As the first guard drops, two others fire their semi-automatic machine guns. The bullets rip through the first guard's body as it's falling, just as I raise my bony hand to the bullets. In an instant, the bullets turn into a spray of lead water, literal lead water. Did I mention that lead tastes bad? Don't try it. I proceed to morph my blade into the shape of a magnum, quickly popping caps into the two guards before a fourth guard came up behind me with a bat. I duck to the side and quickly kick out the guard's legs, stabbing my blade deep into their skull. Just as I finish off the last guard, several more turn around the corner. So, instead of dealing with the literal tank, that is somehow fitting in this hallway, behind them, I decide to just contort the wall into a passageway, straight into a large battlefield. "Why does it feel like I just triggered a flag?" Over on the end of the battlefield, a large explosion goes off, as five masked guards drop down. They all had the Hearts symbol, but with numbers on them. The far left was green in colour and had a six on their mask. "Heartz Sentai Massug-Ranger Green!" The one on the far right was pink in colour and had a seven on their mask. "Heartz Sentai Massug-Ranger Pink!" Next to what I'm assuming is a girl, was a guard in blue with an eight on their mask. "Heartz Sentai Massug-Ranger Blue!" Next to the green guy was a yellow...person? They had a nine on their mask. "Heartz Sentai Massug-Ranger Yellow!" The center guard was red in colour and had gold highlights to the shoulders, there was a ten on the mask. "Heartz Sentai Massug-Ranger Red!" Yet another explosion went off behind them, followed by a few more. Even the guards with the tank who had been chasing me for the last ten minutes had magically vanished. "Okay...But why? Also, this is happening...Why is this happening?!" The green one disappears in a puff of smoke, reappearing next to me with katana in hand. I quickly block its downslash with my bone blade, kicking out the green one's legs before morphing the blade into a magnum and unloading into the falling sentai. Several bullets shoot past me as the green one reappears next to the rest of them, the pink one aiming twin rifles straight towards me. "So...a ninja and a sniper...who has two rifles...? Yup...this is my life now..." I backflip away from the large spray of bullets from the blue guy who is literally holding a minigun. "Who gave you a minigun?! Why does she have two rifles?! WHY ARE YOU A NINJA?!" The red one signals to the rest as they all pull out some kind of henshin device...after a full ten minutes of over-the-top, overacted, and most definitely plagiarised gigantic robot fusion, a gigantic robot stood over the Labour Camp. I deeply inhale before pointing towards the giant robot. "WHAT THE F~...!" I jump back as the robot punches the ground, launching not only me into the air, but the literal room itself gets blown off of the foundation. The robot aims a large cannon towards me, as I activate ADV, proceeding to block the laser with my hand and forcing it to become a large fountain of bright lights that would definitely cause even those without epilepsy to have a seizure. The robot goes to punch me, but I catch it in my hand, as the whole robot's arm twists around and ends up inside its shoulder. The robot starts sparking around where I relocated the arm, just as the head opens up, revealing the five of them in some sort of control room. I let out a powerful screech that cracks the robot's armor as it slowly starts compressing into itself. The red guy jumps out of the robot just as it disappears into itself, either killing the rest of the crew via compression, or sent them to another dimension in which no light escapes. "Wow...you didn't tell me it was self-cleaning!" The red one glares down at me as I land back on the ground and drop out of ADV. "Shall we dance?" I motion for him to come get me, just as I place my hand on the wall of the facility, the giant hole in the ceiling closing. Just as I do that, I hit the button to release all of the prisoners, proceeding to turn the facility into a straight tunnel so the rest can escape.
Adolpha probably called for backup, cause the other Demi-Humans were being lead by that crocodile Demi-Human. I make it outside just as they finish loading the Demi-Humans onto the truck, for good measure, I place my hand back on the facility and close off the exit. "We good to go?" Adolpha pokes her head out of the driver's window. "All set! Hurry up and get on!" I hop onto the roof of the truck and place my hand on the railings, causing them to wrap around my hand. "Alright, let's go!" The truck quickly swerves around, just as the front entrance bursts open, that red sentai wannabe coming out with a hammer. I morph my blade into a magnum as he throws his hammer towards the truck. I quickly blast the hammer out of the sky and shoot the red guy in the leg just to spite him. "Kamen Rider is better!"
(Later)
We make it back to the sewers and safely guide all of the Demi-Humans back to Demi Haven, somehow not being spotted by the guards making their rounds through the city, inadequacy at its best. The children were adopted into the orphanage and were given free tuition for the school, the older Demi-Humans were scattered around based on their expertise, mostly for heavy lifting. I've been spending most of my time in the bar, which was made for those on the frontlines. Surprisingly, the stuff here is much better than the piss water back home. Adolpha comes up to me with glass in hand. "Good work out there. Thanks to you, the Demi-Humans are finally free from Heartz' tyranny." ~ "All there is now is to bring the fight to Heartz herse~..." The loud bang from the level below us made me drop my drink, the screams that followed made us quickly get out of the bar. "Oh...$#!%." The front entrance for Demi-Haven was completely blown open, guards were swarming in, they somehow fit a tank in the sewers, and all of this was being lead by that red sentai guy. "I knew I should've shot him in the head~..." Adolpha quickly pushes me out of the way as the bar explodes from the sudden tank fire. "OH COME ON! That was my favourite bar..." Adolpha looks over to me. "How the hell did they find us?!" ~ "That red guy must've tacked the truck with a tracking device when he threw his hammer..." I grab Adolpha's hand and pull her along. "We've gotta get out of here!"
We run through the burning streets of Demi-Haven, passing by several bodies of fellow rebels charred from the fires. The crocodile guy comes out of one of the burning buildings carrying a group of Demi-Humans over his shoulders, most of them already passed. "I'm sorry...this was all I could do..." Adolpha shakes her head. "You're doing your best, that's what counts... What about the children?" ~ "They've been trapped inside of the school by the rubble from the upper floors. Not even the elites are strong enough to move those rocks." Something emerges from the rubble of one of the burning buildings, running over to Adolpha. "Zoey!" Adolpha hugs the catgirl, who was slightly burned and bruised. "Are you okay? What happened? Where are the others~..." I put my hand on Adolpha's shoulder. "Calm down...you sound like an overprotective mother." Zoey looked legitimately frightened, who wouldn't be in this situation. "The teacher asked me to get some supplies from the crafts department... While I was looking for the supplies, the whole building collapsed on top of me." I look over to the entrance a few floors below us, the guards had already started shooting every Demi-Human they saw. "We need to get out of here." Adolpha looks over to me. "What about the others? We can't just leave them!" I grit my teeth and look towards the entrance. "I just...I just think we'll have a better chance if it's just the four of us." The crocodile Demi-Human looks down towards the entrance. "You may have a point...but I don't like the thought of leaving fellow Demi-Humans here, either." I look over to the school a few floors up. "Is there any other way into the school?" Adolpha shakes her head. "There's only a front entrance...and that's been blocked off." I take out my bone blade and morph it into a hammer. "Would this work?" I hand the hammer to the crocodile, which he inspects it before shaking his head. "The material is definitely strong enough, but we cannot risk the safety of the children..." ~ "There's got to be somethi~...!" Cannon fire shoots past us overhead, as it sails straight into the rubble blocking the school, blowing it apart and taking the school with it, the only thing left was the rubble of the school lit ablaze. The four of us look towards the wreckage of the school, the tank needing to reload after that last blast. Adolpha falls to her knees. "There were...a few hundred children in there...!" I grit my teeth and turn to the tank that was preparing to fire again. "That's the last straw..." I leap off of the railing and dive towards the lowest level, activating ADV. "I won't let anyone else die!"
