"Hey Burke, pass me a line"

Burke hands David a line with a worm on the end. The line is old and rusty.

David tosses the line into the water, Burke stands back, trying not to laugh.

David starts struggling and the line gets tugged across the surface of the water.

He pulls the rod back, and falls back as the line flies out of the water and onto the boat.

David looks at the rod, the line at the end was torn near where the worm was.

He shoots a look at Burke, who was doubled over laughing.

From across the lake, something green and scaly, stared at them.

The creature sank into the water.

"Burke this is no time for games we need to collect seaweed samples."

David hastily puts on his gear and jumps into the lake.

Burke lays back on the side of the boat, eating sunflower seeds from a bag.

The water rippled in a straight path, heading towards the boat.

Burke spat out a sunflower seed and peered over the edge.

The rippling stopped, and a loud crunch followed.

The boat almost capsized, Burke grabbed hold of a loose board to avoid falling into the water. Everything went silent, Burke looked around anxiously.

The water turned a reddish shade, ripples appeared in the water.

Burke looked over the edge, He called for David, but no response.

An arm floated to the surface of the water, Teeth marks covered the flesh.

The bone was chewed and crushed, Burke knew immediately who it was.

On the severed arm, from the forearm to the wrist.

Was an eagle tattoo.

Burke reached into the back of the boat.

He was frantically whipping his hand around trying to find it.

He pulled out a shotgun, with 2 shells and a magazine.

The boat rocked again, finally capsizing.

Burke thrashed in the water, trying to get back onto the boat.

Ripples approached him, getting closer and closer.

He turned around and felt an enormous pressure on his legs.

The water around him turned red and he started sinking.

He reached for the surface, getting farther and farther away.

His body went numb from the cold water.

Something swam around him, circling him.

He tried to shoot the thing, but his shotgun was rusted.

His chest hurt, it felt like his lungs were about to burst.

He felt a sharp pain across his back, Up to the back of his head.

His vision went blurry and he couldn't breathe.

The last thing he saw, was his friend's body, and the right half of his, as the creature closed its jaws on him.

(10 years later)

I hold the knife in my hand. "Nice craftsmanship"

Closing the cabinet, I leave the shack.

"Hey, how's the fire coming"

Black turns around, his hands are bruised from the excessive twirling of sticks.

"Not so good"

I sigh and walk over to the logs, pulling out a lighter, I light the logs ablaze.

"That's how you start a fire"
I twirl the knife around between my fingers and chuck it at a tree.

"Hey Black, how good are you with an MK"

Black shrugs, "as good as I am with a pistol"

I retrieve my knife from the tree. "So, bad then"

I grab my stuff from the shack and motion for Black to follow.

We continue up the mountain, slashing at branches that get in our way.

Black pops MK-14 shells into the magazine rack.

I stop him and we duck into some bushes.

Over in the clearing, something was roaming.

I peek out and motion for Black to follow.

We dart out of the bushes and run through the forest.

Whatever was over there, is probably chasing us.

I peer back to see a giant snake thing, chasing us.

We continue down the mountain, I motion Black to head downwards.

He nods and we separated. I jump into the trees and branch hop my way down.

The snake continued after Black, Black was leaping over fallen trees and avoiding branches. He reached the lake at the bottom, cornered.

He looked around him, mountain surrounded.

The snake came into view, it had a sharp blade on its tail and had a razor sharp glare that can intimidate even a lion.

The snake approached Black, hissing, getting ready to attack.

I leap out of the trees, piercing the snake's back with my knife.

The snake lets out an inhuman roar, as it tries to throw me off of it.

I slide down it's back, leading the knife through it's body.

It's tail swung at me, but slightly missing as I slash it off.

The snake slowed down it's movement.

I landed next to Black, raising my knife and pointing it at the snake.

The snake turned to us, revealing sharp blades at the tip of it's frills.

I start running towards the snake, It charged towards me.

I sidestep out of the path of an acid shot, and bring my knife across it's neck.

It's head bent back, revealing a large open wound in it's neck.

Black shot it in the eyes and I raised my knife to it's frills.

I slice off one at a time, each time curving into it's head.

Finally, I grabbed it's head at the base of it's neck, and snapped it.

The snake fell back onto the ground, it's head rolling off the stump.

I kicked the body, and turned to Black.

"That, is why snakes on a plane was a bad movie"
