Re;birth Apocalypse [Original] Ch. 13: Alliance

"Return to me. I will make you my vessel." ~ "Who are you?" ~ "You took what was mine, and I want it back." ~ "What do you mean I took what was yours?" ~ "If you won't return it to me, I'll take it. Even if I have to tear it out of your rotting body..." I slowly open my eyes, the harsh light of the bedroom blinding me. "Oh wonderful... I died and went to heaven..." ~ "Oh, I see you're awake..." Vert leans over me, as I deadpan. "Great, I'm in hell..." ~ "Oh my, is that what you say to your savior?" I sit up on the bed, noticing that I'm basically wearing nothing but shorts and a lot of bandages. "Care to explain where my clothes went?" Vert turns to me as she plugs in a controller to her console. "They were covered in blood and ripped, so I decided I would get you some new clothes." ~ "And you didn't care to ask me if I wanted them replaced...?" ~ "Just try them on." ~ "...Fine..." I take the stack of clothes and step into the bathroom.

"Okay, How do I look?" Vert turns around and claps her hands together. "Oh, it's wonderful!" I was wearing my usual black pants and white undershirt. I had a black leather jacket over top, that cuts off at my midsection and continues down my back like a normal coat. I had new black shoes with dark blue highlights, light blue on the bottom. I had grey power bracelets around my wrists, and a light blue speed enhancing anklet around my right ankle. I had a silver scarf around my neck, and a pair of black shades resting on my white hair. I had a gun holster strapped around my left thigh, with 'Puma's Rack' already holstered. My bonerod was held in a katana bag, hung over my shoulder. I tap the holster on my leg. "This'll make things a lot easier..." ~ "See, I knew you'd love it~..." I sigh, sitting back on the bed. "How am I going to handle this..." ~ "If you don't mind me asking... Why were you collapsed outside of the pharmacy, badly poisoned?" ~ "About that... I... I need to ask you something..." ~ "And what would that be?" ~ "I need your he-e-ee... I need your hel-lgh... I need your he-eeegh..." ~ "You need my help?" ~ "Yes, that." I pull out my IPod Touch as I check a notepad I made. "I encountered a group calling themselves 'Apocalypse Callers~...'" ~ "Apocaly~..?" ~ "Oh yeah, probably should've mentioned, we're in the middle of a zombie apocalypse..." ~ "Well... That's a lot to take in..." ~ "Tell me about it..." ~ "Uh~.." ~ "Don't..." ~ "Well, why do you need my help?" ~ "I need to gather the goddesses, we need to form a team to take on the Apocalypse Callers..." ~ "What, like the X-Men?" ~ "No, that name is so sexist... I'd say, more like X-Force. You know, without almost everyone dying." ~ "And... Why were you collapsed outside of the pharmacy?" ~ "...Oh, $#!%!" I scramble off the bed and leap over the balcony, landing hard on my feet. The shoes crunch down and take the full impact of the landing. "Shock resistant shoes... Neat." I sprint towards the pharmacy, the speed enhancer lighting up. I reach the pharmacy and rip open the door, the door coming off the hinges. "Hey! What's going on here?!" I look back at the empty frame of the door. "Huh... I guess the power enhancers are working..." The shopkeeper walks up to me. "I hope you're going to pay for that...!" ~ "There's no time for that, I need medicine immediately! Purple Heart is..." ~ "What's this about Lady Purple Heart...?" ~ "She's hurts!" Green Heart walks up to the wrecked door frame of the pharmacy. "Well, I was wondering where you ran off to in a hurry..." The shopkeeper looks to Green Heart and salutes. "Lady Green Heart, do you know this man?" ~ "Yes, I do. He speaks the truth about Purple Heart, so I must ask for the medicine." ~ "Absolutely." The shopkeeper runs into the back, as I let out a sigh of relief. "Well... All there's left to do is get back to Lowee..." ~ "Lowee?" I turn to Green Heart. "Yeah, Neptune is currently in the Lowee Basilicom. The doctors there are treating her, but they asked me to get the medicine." ~ "I see... Then I'll accompany you back to Lowee." The shopkeeper comes back out with the medicine, and Green Heart and I make our way back to Lowee.

After a long run, made shorter due to the speed enhancers, we arrived back at the Lowee Basilicom. I gave the medicine to the doctors and soon after, Neptune was discharged. "Well... That was one hell of a trip..." Neptune sighs. "Yeah... So, what's the game plan?" ~ "We're gonna head to Lastation to get your new arm and get a replacement for my motorcycle. We also need to get Noire to join our team." ~ "And what are we calling this 'team?'" ~ "Shinkaku Teikō." ~ "Shin crack tato?" I shake my head. "Shinkaku Teikō. It means Deity Resistance." ~ "Ah..." Neptune eyes my new gear. "Um... What are you doing?" ~ "I just noticed that bag... Isn't that used for Katanas? Did you get a katana while you were in Leanbox?! That's so cool! Let me see!" ~ "Well, you're very cheery today." I unzip the bag and remove the bonerod. "Just this thing. The case is just a precaution, don't want anyone messing with us." ~ "So you use that case as, intimidation?" ~ "Pretty much. We should be getting close to Lastation, so let's~...!" I hold my arm out to stop Neptune. "What's up?" ~ "...Get behind me." Cards strike the group in front of us, as they burst into smoke. "Why don't you stop hiding from us and show yourself... Queen of Hearts." I look around, the area completely silent. I pull 'Puma's Rack' out of its holster and turn off the safety. "Neptune. When I fire, I want you to duck. Then activate HDD and fly as high as you can. Got it?" ~ "Yeah." ~ "Okay, and... Don't hold this against me." I aim my gun out in front of me, as I pull the trigger. A silver bullet shoots out and immediately changes direction. Neptune ducks down, as the bullet flies past her head, striking someone behind her. "Got you!" Neptune activates HDD and flies into the air, as I twist around, unloading the entire magazine. The silver bullets make contact with an invisible target, knocking her back a few feet. "Y-You bastard! How can you see me?!" ~ "Simple, I focused on your aura. I could feel where you were, even when you were invisible." ~ "That sounds like bull$#!%!" ~ "Maybe it is, or maybe I don't have an answer for you. Now stop hiding and show yourself!" The camouflage fades revealing a figure wearing a metallic black dress. She had snakes wrapping around her arms and over her shoulders. Her mask was that of a black heart, with spider legs for hair. "Spade was right, you are a nuisance." ~ "Oh wow... You guys talk about me...! I'm so honored..." I activate ADV, my bonerod turning into a scythe. "Now, how 'bout we get this chapter rolling!" I charge towards the Queen of Hearts, as my scythe glows brightly. The Queen of Hearts stares me down. "Y-You...! I, Heartz, will defeat you!" She activates her poisonous rapier and charges towards me as well. I swing my scythe across, as it makes contact with her rapier. "Aaaaand... Cliffhanger."
