Moonlight Hacker [Original] Chapter Seventeen: That Sinking Feeling

Sunlight shines over the lake.I fling open the door and run across the deck.Draq, Griff, Neptune, Nepgear, IF, and Plutia follow.I reach the end of the deck and flip into the water.The back of my neck hits the water."Hey guys, come on in, the water's fine"Neptune jumps into the lake, followed by Draq."What the nep, this water is freezing"I glance over to Draq and signal down.We dive underwater and swim towards the bottom.A small cove is hidden at the bottom of the lake.Inside is a small room with video games and a Nep U."Jonah told me about this special place, where the creator would go"I hand Draq a controller."Want to go a round"(After a round of NepKart8)"Alright, we should head back up"We leave the cove and swim back up to the surface.When we surface, Neptune, Griff, and Nepgear are having a watergun fight."Ok, what did I miss, and can I join"I grab a twin shot, rapid fire, water gun.Draq grabs a spray shot.I aim my gun towards Neptune and pull the trigger..........Nothing."Huh, this gun is empty"I look back up to see Neptune with her gun pointed at me.I duck underwater and open the cannister.Something tells me that, from the sound of that splash, Draq just shot Nepgear.My cannister fills with water, I put it back in its slot and reload.I surface and shoot Neptune with twin shots.Neptune drops underwater and swims towards the ladder.I hear a splash and turn around to see IF coming in for a drop kick.I dodge underwater and corkscrew out of the way.IF dives under and aims her gun at me.I reach behind me and pull out a second gun.I aim the guns below me and pull the trigger.Jets of water shoots out and launches me out of the lake.I land on the deck and aim the Twin Shot x4 into the lake.The jets hit the water and continue down.A large fountain of water shoots out and IF falls onto the deck."One left"I ready my Twin shot x4 and look around for the final player.Draq comes charging towards me.I dive backwards into the water and aim my Twin Shot x4 towards the surface.Draq jumps into the water and aims his gun at me.I corkscrew back and surface.I aim my Twin Shot x4 at Draq and pull the trigger.The shot flies towards Draq, but Draq dodges it at the last second.The shot continues and nails Plutia."Oh god"I look over to see Neptune swimming away."You're making me mad"Plutia stands up, IF and Nepgear seem to have disappeared.A bright light shines over the lake.When it disappears, Iris Heart stands in front of us."And you won't like me when I'm mad"Iris Heart pulls out a gun, that Im guessing is a bazooka.A large jet of water shoots across the lake.So far, that it hits Neptune, who is across the lake."Oh $#!%"I dive underwater and swim towards the cove, Draq follows.We arrive at the enterance and hide inside.I seal the enterance with some rocks."We'll have to wait in here, for her to calm down"Draq pulls out a controller."Round 2"(Later)I remove the rocks and we swim back up to the top.Iris Heart doesn't seem to be here.We get onto the deck and walk over to the stairs."Where do you think you're going"We turn around to see Iris Heart at the other end of the deck."Run"We run up the stairs and to the door.I try to open the door, but its locked.Griff and F-Bomb are inside watching anime and drinking mountain dew."Hey guys, let us in"I bang on the door, over and over again."Let us in"*Bang bang bang*Iris Heart walks up behind us."Lets have some fun"*Bang bang bang*"Hey, let us in"*Bang bang bang*"LET US IN!!!"*BANG BANG BANG*(After Iris Heart's punishment)*Ow*"Everything's sore"I head inside my room and sit down at my computer.The Nepulus Rift is plugged in to my computer.I start typing in code.(The next day)"Alright, its done"I unplug the Nepulus Rift and close my computer."Huh"I glance at the clock."5:47 am!"Great, I was up all night working on the new program.Welp, at least its done.They'll really enjoy this game.I put on the Nepulus Rift."Time for a test run"The game starts up..."Perfect"End of Chapter
