Re;birth Apocalypse [Original] Ch. 20: Mother Of Higher Love

I drive my foot into the cannon of the tank, bending it as it fires, sending the blast sailing straight into the ceiling of the Demi-Haven. Rubble falls from above as light shines into the area from the hole in the ceiling, some guards were unlucky enough to be on the section that was blown open, as they drop into the haven. The guards around the tank open fire as I reach down and pull a large chunk of the tank out and hurl it towards a group of guards, catching one of the guards that fell in and chucking its corpse to the driver of the tank who was getting out. I let out a screech as the ground cracks and raises, surrounding some of the guards before slamming shut on them. The red sentai guy pulls out his hammer and leaps to the tank, launching it into the air with a hard slam to the ground next to it. The wings on my back extend out as I kick the tank back down to the red sentai guy, who smashes it to pieces in one blow. Matter contorts in my hands as a large ball of energy forms, the surrounding buildings started being absorbed into the orb as I threw it towards the red guy. He attempted to send it back with his hammer, but the orb just absorbed the hammer and collided with the ground as it dissipates, the red guy gone. The remaining guards made a run for it, but were quickly stopped by the crocodile Demi-Human who swiftly snapped their necks before throwing them into the sewage water behind him. "We need to get out of here." Adolpha and Zoey reach the lower floor and the crocodile Demi-Human quickly escorts them out of the premises, as I take one last look at Demi-Haven, before turning and running after them.

Guards swarmed the haven soon after, the usual entrance to the sewers was infested with guards, so the crocodile Demi-Human lead us to the exit deeper into the sewers. Most of the Demi-Humans who had survived the initial attack were quickly disposed of when they attempted to leave the usual route, some were in the right of mind to take the safe route. The Crocodile Demi-Human carefully removes the bars on the exit leading to a large lake. "This is the safest way to get out of the nation without being detected. Although...it's not very sanitary." I look down the long drop into the lake, which had water from the sewers pouring into it. "I'm just surprised they haven't died from the dirty water supply..." I look over to Adolpha and Zoey and step to the side. "Ladies first." Adolpha groans. "Of course you'd say that..." She holds Zoey's hand as they leap into the lake below, I turn to the Crocodile Demi-Human as I prepare to join them. "Oh yeah...I never got your name." ~ "Gentoku Himuro." ~ "Of course it is..." I dive into the lake below, as Gentoku seals off the exit and follows us into the lake.

"This should be the place." Gentoku opens the gate as we step into the dark warehouse. Once he made sure that no one was following us, he sealed off the entrance and turned on the lights. It took my eyes a second to adjust to the light, the room was filled with around thirty or so Demi-Humans, most of them were wounded with some of them sharpening weapons. Gentoku goes over to a gorilla Demi-Human whose arm was a deep shade of purple. "What happened here?" The gorilla coughs and looks to Gentoku, faking a smile. "I managed to get these Demi-Humans to safety, but she was able to poison me as we escaped." I walk up to the gorilla Demi-Human. "She?" ~ "Heartz... her rapier can extend like a scorpion's tail, she managed to prick me." ~ "Wait. Heartz is at Demi-Haven? So, she's not in the Basilicom?" ~ "Yes...? That's right. What about it?" I turn to the rest of the Demi-Humans. "Can anyone here fight?" About ten healthy Demi-Humans raised their hands, while some of the injured nodded. Gentoku looks over to me. "What are you getting at?" ~ "We infiltrate the Basilicom, and shutdown this nation from inside." Adolpha turns to me. "But there are still guards in the Basilicom. We'll be spotted!" ~ "About that..." I walk up to one of the Demi-Humans and place my hand on their shoulder. In an instant, their clothes changed into the guard's uniform. "There." The others seemed shocked, as Gentoku spoke up. "H-How...did you do that?" ~ "I remembered what the uniform looked like and replicated it. With this, we'll be able to sneak into the Basilicom safely. Now, show of hands. Who's coming?"
