Scott and I had decided that I had to leave and go get help. I was the only one who could. I walked back over to Malia who was asleep on the floor. I gently shook her trying to wake her up. When she finally did wake up she looked up at me confused.
"Hey." I said to her in a calm voice. "I got to leave for a few. Okay?" I asked her.
"Were are you going?" She asked me worry filled her voice.
"It's worse for you guys. It means it's not just people getting sick its and assassin." I told her.
This did not seem to comfort her at all instead it had the opposite effect. She reached out and grabbed out for me. She started to shiver. It was obvious that she was cold. I took off my jacket and gave it to her. She grabbed on to it and quickly wrapped it around her.
"You're coming back right?" She asked me.
I could not help but smile at her. I pushed the hair out of her face.
"Yeah. I'll never leave you behind." I told her causing her to smile at me.
I kissed her forehead, then grabbed hold of her hand before turning to leave. I did not look back to her. I did not look back until the door closed and I instantly regretted leaving that room
