We arrived at the hospital and was greeted at the door by mom. The second she saw me she wrapped me in the biggest hug ever.

"Thank god you're okay." She said to me.

"Mom. I'm always okay." I told her trying to calm her down.

"We need to talk." Dad said to her.

"About what?" She asked.

"About how you knew what and where the cure was." He said to her.

"Why does it matter? It worked our son is alive. Cant that be enough for you." She said to him.

I could tell it was going to turn into a fight but lucky for all of us dads phone rang.

"Shit." He said once he looked at it.

"What is it dad?" I asked him.

"My boss." He said.

"Don't answer it." I told him. "We have to go see Thana." I told him.

"I have to. I was not even supposed to leave the school. I was supposed to stay on site to give my report." He told me.

"Because you shot that guy?" I asked him.

"Yeah." He answered.

"Do you have to go?" I asked him.

"Yeah. I thought maybe they would give me some time considering both of my kids almost died. But I have to take this." He said then he turned and walked away as he answered his phone.

"How is everything on your end?" I asked mom once dad was occupied.

"Well its fine now." She answered me.

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"Well the assassin who shot Thana came to the hospital to finish the job." She told me.

"What is she okay? Why did Derek not tell me on the phone?" I asked her.

"Because he probably did not want to worry you. Everyone's fine and the assassin is dead." She told me.

"Dead?" I asked.

"Yeah Satomi killed her. And then I had to help them throw her body into the crematorium. Never thought I would say that in my life." She mumbled.

"Hey Scott. I'm sorry but I really have to go. Tell Thana I will be in to see her as soon as I can." He told me

"Fine." I responded.

I understood why he had to go but it did not mean it did not suck any less that his job always seemed to come first.

"Were is she?" I asked mom.

"I had Derek bring her back to her room. Your sisters a real pain in the ass you know that right." She said to me.

I could not help but smile. I did know that and I could not help but wonder what Thana did to make my mom say that.

"You have no idea." I responded before I started walking to Thana's room.

It did not take me long to get to her room. I knew this hospital better than I would like to admit.

I have to say when I opened the door and walked into her room I was shocked by what I saw. So shocked I was frozen in place. My hand still holding onto the door knob.

Thana was asleep in her bed but she was not alone. Derek was in there with her. They were both asleep. Thana's head was rolled into Derek with her head resting on his chest. Derek was lying flat on his back but his arm was wrapped around her shoulders holding her into place. His chin was resting on the top of her head.

I was pulled out of shock when I heard a crunching under my hand. I removed my hand and looked at the doorknob. It had crushed under my grip.

"What the hell is going on?" Causing Derek to latterly jump out of the bed and Thana to sleepily wake up, look at me then try to go back to sleep.

I looked at Derek who looked to be flustered which was a new look for him. Thana just did not seem to even care what was going on.

"It's not what it looks like." Derek said.

"Really?" I snapped at him.

"Chill out Scott. We were just sleeping." Thana said to me as she finally decided to wake up and join this conversation.

"In the same bed!" I yelled at her.

"She was tired and she asked." Derek said.

"Oh so my sister asks you to climb into bed with her and you just say okay!"

"Pretty much." Thana answered for him.

"Shut up." We both said to her.

"Don't tell her to shut up." I told him even though I had just did myself.

"Oh my god Scott. Calm down. Nothing happened I just wanted someone next to me so I felt safe after being shot at twice. It's no big deal." She told me.

But it was a big deal. I left Derek with her to protect her not to get into bed with her. I did not want her involved in any of this. It was hard enough that I was a wolf. I did not want her getting any closer to anyone else that was one. Her friends may be trouble makers but at least most of them are human. It seemed that she just attracted unwanted attention from every supernatural creator she met.

"Get out." I told Derek.

"No. Derek stays." Thana told me.

"I want him gone." I told her.

"Well I want him to stay. He did save my life twice." She told me.

"Fine but you stay over there." I told him as I pointed to the char all the way on the other side of the room.

He listened and went to sit down.

"Your just lucky dad had to leave. He does carry a gun and he did shot someone today" I told the two of them.

"Who, what?" I asked him.

I went on to tell her everything that went on at the school. She took it all in and was happy that everyone was okay.

"So it looks like we both had a busy day." She told me once I was done.

"I have some stuff to tell you." She told me.

She went on to tell me everything that happened today including all the stuff Derek told her that we agreed we would not tell her.

I was just becoming more and more annoyed with him by the minuet.

"So do you have any ideas on who to get her powers back?" I asked him.

"Truthfully no. But I think I know someone who does." He told us.

"Well make the call." Thana told him.

He did not answer instead he took out his phone and walked out into the hall way.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I asked her once Derek was gone.

"What are you talking about?" She asked.

"Take your pick. Running off into the woods after a pack of wolves. Getting shot at twice or asking Derek to sleep with you." I said to her.

"Are we still talking about that?" She asked me.

"Yes." I responded.

"Look he's my familiar. I can't help the fact that I feel safe when I'm with him. I could not sleep because I felt alone. I just wanted to know someone was there." She told me trying to make me feel bad.

"I'm not going to fall for that crap." I told her.

"Well it was worth a shot. But it is the truth, he makes me feel safe." She told me.
