Out for Itachi

******** They just got Jugo!! :D

MAYURI POV-

So after we got through the fighting part, we got Jugo. Note to self, never let Sasuke do the fighting it just takes forever. We did make a stop earlier and I used that time to communicate with Ita-kun. But the entire conversation made me feel horrible.

Our conversation:

Itachi: You know, now that he is out and is getting people to help. The time is coming Mayuri.

Mayuri: Please don’t say that Itachi-kun.

Itachi: It is true.  But remember; never let it get to you. You can’t be sad, we trained too much and too hard for emotions to take over.

Mayuri: I-I got to go.

I know I have to accept it and keep walking but it is getting impossible! I spent too much time getting to know him again and… who wouldn’t miss a guy like him? Currently we were on our way to find out any information on where he could be. But just as I suspected, Sasuke wanted to use me as his VIP ticket to ‘success.’

“Where is he?”

“I don’t know.”

“Don’t lie. You are with them; you probably know where each and every one of them is. Now spill.”

“I already went to the bathroom.”  He groaned and punched the tree.

“Dammit Mayuri-san! Why won’t you just tell me where?!,” I hit his head and rubbed my hand down my face. “Look Uchica, I can’t tell you because I freaking don’t know!”

I wasn’t lying. I seriously had no idea what so ever at the moment, of course, I could always find out where he is but that isn’t necessary. I will just let him figure it out himself. “If you don’t know where he is than how are you going to be able to help me in any way?”

“I don’t know where you got that idea from but I am just here because I was bored. Don’t expect any help from me.” I scoffed, crossing my arms. “ENOUGH!” We turned to the deep voice beside us only to see an annoyed orange haired man with a very annoyed expression.

“Sorry Jugo-kun but it is all Sasuke’s fault.” I smiled. He sighed and turned to Sasuke, “Obviously she isn’t going to help us with what you want. We will do it ourselves.” Sasuke glared at me and continued walking. After getting away from the northern hideout he stopped and turned back to us.

“My goal is to kill Uchiha Itachi of the Akatsuki.” Instantly my eyes drifted away and he noticed that.

“I knew it.” Suigetsu sighed.

“I-isn’t that your brother?” Karin asked.

“In order to achieve the goal, I need your help. Of course, I won’t force you.” He looked straight at me; I could feel his intense stare so I began to heat up. There was a long moment of silence, and I mean very long. I looked back up to see why it was so quiet and he was still staring at me. Everyone looked very curious.

“Um.. yo Sasuke! Why do you keep staring at her like that?” As if nothing happened Sasuke changed the subject. “Karin, you had something to do. Shall we attend that now?”

There were so many things about her that made her look like a suspect to me, like she wasn’t here just to help Sasuke…

‘And she definitely has nothing important to take care of.’  Pretty much.

“Well I’ve thought about it, and there is no rush, so…”

“Karin, why are you being all obedient all of a sudden?” Suigetsu-kun asked trying not to smile, “All you really want to do is be close to Sasuke, right?” He smirked.

I lifted my eyebrows in amusement. I could have fun with this, I mean teasing Sasuke and making him get all flustered is one, but to have that kill Karin is another! Karin’s face turned into a deep crimson red and grew an anime vein.
“A-As if! Who the hell mentioned that?! Was it YOU?!” She pointed a finger accusingly at me. I was so tempted to bite her finger off but instead I pushed it away giving a sweet smile.

“Now, now, it’s rude to point fingers Karin. Plus, why would I say anything like that? We all know that’s never going to happen between you two.” I shrugged with a smirk entwining Sasuke’s fingers with mine. I felt his hand get all sweaty and he was fighting the blush creeping up onto his face.

“Um.. Ok we should.. go now..” Suigetsu-kun suggested. Sasuke and I sped up still hand in hand, he let out a soft sigh from his lips. “What are you doing?” He asked not looking at me.

“What do you mean? I am just doing what you guys are.” I let my hand go loose out of his grip but he only tightened it. For some reason I didn’t mind. To be honest… I kind of maybe liked it. >.<

“Come on Hebi, we need to find Uchiha Itachi.” He sped up even faster with me by his side.

Ita-kun… everyone is out to get you. I bet Konoha is craving to see Sasuke, and they can only do so if they have Itachi. I can’t pray for him to be ok because that’s not what’s supposed to happen. But one can only hope right?”

ITACHI POV-

I put my weapons in place and looked up at the mirror of my dresser. So it’s time. But first I need prepare for it. I began writing a letter addressed to Mayuri, then another addressed to Sasuke. Before this happens, I have to find a way to talk to Naruto, and also Mayuri. But that is going to be very difficult. I know Sasuke will be with her and so will his team.

“Itachi! Come on we have to go.” Kisame yelled stepping in to the room. I gathered my things and walked out of the Akatsuki base knowing it would be my last moments there. I didn’t say a word to anyone there just simply glanced at them remembering it would be my last time seeing them.

“Hn.” I let a few strands of hair fall to cover my eyes.
