Flashette(Book Two)

     We sped over to Joe's, and be happily invited us in.
     "I'm so glad to see you, what's up?"
     "After the singularity, Barry's been different, and he's going back to that place again."
       "Oh no, not my Bar. Barry talk to me."
      "It's just that so much has been lost in my life, and staying out of the Flash business and living a normal life will keep me safe from it."
      "Yes, that's true, but you made a commitment. You gave into this and you have to deal with it. What happened to the Barry that would go to any length to help people? You have to get up and try again. Do it in Ronnie and Eddie's honor."
      And it was with that sentence that Barry realized what was infront of him. I saw the switch flip again, but this time he was the Barry I fell in love with.
     "Thank you guys!" He said before giving Joe and hug and me a kiss.   
     "No problem Barry," Joe said.
     "Now let's go get Caitlin back," Barry said speeding to Mercury Labs.
"Caitlin!" Barry said running into her, making her drop her papers.
"I didn't expect to see you guys here. What do you need?" She asked.
"We want to get the team back together," Barry said.
"I'm sorry, but I can't afford losing someone else I care about."
"Caitlin c'mon, we made a commitment to this and it is hurting more people than us. Crime doesn't stop when we do. We have to do this. Their hope needs to be restored."
"I told you, I've moved on from it."
"So ignoring everyone and keeping them away is going to help them? I went through this phase years ago, and almost ended up killing myself because of how I felt. I'm not going to let you do the same," Barry said grabbing her hand.
"I guess....I can try," she said.
"Thank you Cait. There's some ceremony tomorrow for us that you can go to If you'd like."
"Maybe I will," she said.
"See you later," we said before speeding to the park.
     We spent most of the day walking around the park and talking about the future. There were so many people waking around with their families, and it brought a smile to my face knowing that I would be one of them sometime.
"Why are you so smiley?" Barry asked me.
"Because you're okay, and we're spending this beautiful day together."
"Nothing is as beautiful as you," he said.
"Ooh, I missed romantic Barry. When is he gonna reappear?"
"He's gonna be around more often," he said kissing me.
      After the kiss, we went over to CCPD to check on things.
"What's new Joe?" We asked.
"The usual. Your cases are upstairs, and you better get on them."
"Okay, Thanks Joe," I said before we got upstairs.
       We sped around and completed our cases, until there was a knock on the lab door. I opened it to reveal a women standing there.
"Hi, I'm Patty Spivot. I'm new to CCPD, and I work with Joe West. I just wanted to say hi to everyone."
"Hi, I'm Chloe Allen and this is Barry Allen."
"Oh I didn't know you were married, Congratulations!"
"Thank you,"
"I'm sorry if I interrupted something," she said pointing out my lopsided shirt from speeding around, our messed up hair, and crinkled clothes.
"It was nothing. Thank you for stopping by!" I said before slamming the lab door shut.
"I have a bad feeling about her."
"How? She's just another worker here and you just met her."
"Yeah, but the way she looked at you, did you see? She was falling for you..."
"Chloe, you don't have to be worried about me cheating on you, I won't. This ring means I'm loyal to you and only you. It wouldn't be there if I didn't mean it," he said poking the ring on my finger.
"Thank you Bar," I said before giving him a passionate kiss. I still had suspicions and doubts in my mind about Patty, but I forgot about it when we took advantage of the closed lab doors.
