"She's badly hurt, help her!" Barry called, yelling for anyone in the cortex. Caitlin came out and examined my bloody body.
"I'm sorry baby.....I really am.....It should have been me......It was foolish of me to-" Barry said to me as I was being situated on the medical bed.
"It's.......Okay......" I managed to make out. Barry smiled, and his eyes glassed over. After a while, Caitlin had me all patched up. I just had to stay in the medical bay for recovery.
"Everything is all set.....No major fractures or injuries.....Mostly smaller ones, but you should stay a while longer, just to ensure a full recovery. "You're lucky! That baby could have been in serious trouble," Caitlin said. I didn't tell Barry, and a look of confusion and shock came over his face. "I'll give you two some privacy...." Caitlin said before she scurried out of the medical bay. She noticed my look of anger.
"Baby? What is she talking about."
"I'm pregnant, Bar. I was gonna tell you, but she beat me to it."
"And what if something happened? I almost lost you, I don't need to lose another one I love.....I just can't believe I'm going to be a father.....Who knew our first time would be a life changer?"
"Clearly not us."
"But you're going to make it through. We're going to be great parents, and this little baby has the best mommy in the whole world."
"Not to forget, the best daddy..." I said to Barry, before we shared a kiss.
