I awoke from my daydream as Barry shook me to get my attention.
"Chloe, are you alright?" He asked me.
"Yeah, just zoning out."
"Okay, well we could really use your help on stopping the Reverse Flash. He has returned and he's still out there."
"Where's Ezra?" I asked him.
"He said he had some business to take care of."
I gulped, thinking about my daydream. But it couldn't be real, I thought. Cisco was the one who could vibe, not me. Ezra is not the Reverse Flash. With that thought, Ezra speeded into the cortex:
"Got him!" He exclaimed
"Great work!" I praised. This was indeed proof that Ezra was not him.
"Now, to see who is behind the mask......" I said, walking over to him. I pulled off his mask to reveal......Ezra. I was scared for two reasons. 1) Because our son was behind the mask and 2) Because my dream was right about him being the Reverse Flash. I guess that was an ability I had just now discovered.
But how? I thought.
"Who are you?" I asked him.
"You know very well who I am. I'm your son....."
"How? Our son here isn't evil, so how are you?"
"I'm simply a doppelgänger from another earth. I'm avenging my adopted father. After you thought I was dead I lived on my own. Eobard took me under his wing and when he didn't come back from this time period I knew something had gone wrong. So I came back here to get back at you for what you did to him."
"Our son will never be like you," I said getting in his face.
"He's already got it in him. All he needs is some tragedy to happen and he will be just like me. That's why I wanted to go after you two. If something happened to you, Ezra wouldn't have parents and you know what growing up like that is like....."
Barry had had enough and sped him down to the pipeline. He said a few words of his own before calling Ezra and I down.
"Ezra, you're a good kid and we know in our hearts that you will never be like that monster. We love you and we care about you. This doppelgänger doesn't mean anything to us or this timeline. You're not evil and you never will be, you're too good. And don't get to attached or dwell on it because it doesn't matter," I said with a smile. We ended this moment with a family hug and a race back up to the cortex.
In the middle of our conversation I stumbled to the floor. My head was pounding and I had no control over what was going on in my head:
"One day soon Flashes......"
