Flashette(Book Two)

When we woke up, we did our normal routine, and sped to S.T.A.R Labs. We spoke with Cisco, Joe, Martin, and Caitlin for a while until Iris walked in. She told us about her new job at Central City Picture news, and how every week she is going to put a column about the Flashes in the paper. But like every other good day we have, we were interrupted. And not by a meta, but a man.
     Joe raised his gun in the air on instinct. The man walked closer and closer and told Joe not to shoot. He spoke:
       "Im sorry to interrupt, but your world is in danger. That singularity you created in the sky was a portal to another world, and though you closed it, there are still gateways to my earth........breaches......I can help you if you let me-"
        "Hold up, you want us to help you fix a problem we've already solved? We don't even know you bro," Cisco said.
      "Yes, you closed the largest one, but there's many more out there. Zoom is coming. If you close all those breaches, he won't be able to come here and destroy you."
      "Excuse me?" I asked. "What do you mean destroy us?"
        "Zoom has taken over my earth, and he wants to take over yours. He wants to be the fastest man alive, and the only speedster alive. With my help, we can stop him."
       "How do we know we can trust you? The last person that wanted to help us turned out to be our biggest enemy."
       "Because I am a speedster as well. And this is my hat," he said walking over to it and putting it on. We found the hat outside the lab after the singularity. "I fell through the singularity, and my hat did as well. On my earth, I faught Zoom many times, and I barely made it out alive each time. You are the only hope for stopping him. Please!" He said.
Barry was about to say no when I spoke:
       "I've heard of this Zoom before. The meta that we faught the other day--"
       "The ATOM SMASHER!.....Go on.." Cisco said.
       "He said Zoom was coming, and that he would be very pleased.."
       "Yes, all metas on my earth are being sent here by Zoom to destroy you. Zoom either wants you dead here, or alive on earth 2, and I can help you so none of that happens."
       "I trust him," Caitlin spoke. Come this way sir, what's your name?"
       "Jay Gerrick."
       "Okay Jay, if you'll come this way I'll run a few tests and you can be on your way."
       "Thank you," he said following Caitlin into the medical room. Barry and I decided to hang around for a while. After a while Barry and I were going to head out.
       "Hey Bar, what do you want to do today?" I asked.
        "There are many things I want to do..." He said with a smirk.
       "How about we go out to lunch?" I suggested.
       "Or maybe a picnic lunch," Barry said.
     "I was wondering when I was going to see Romantic Barry again," I said walking over to him and wrapping my hands around him.
      "He was just here the other day.....remember the lab?" I shushed him.
     "I don't even want to know...." Cisco said shaking his head and walking out. We took that as our cue to leave, and we went home to pack a lunch.
        "You go upstairs and get ready, I'll make lunch," Barry said.
      "Okay, I said before running upstairs to get ready. A few minutes later, I ran downstairs when I was called, and saw Barry with a picnic basket in his hand.
      "Follow me," Barry said before speeding away to an unfamiliar place.
We walked for a few minutes, but it was a worth it. Barry took off the blindfold that he put on me before, and it uncovered a beautiful beach. He laid the blanket down that I had brought, and we sat on the beach for a while.
There was no one at the beach, which made it more private and romantic. When it was lunchtime, he pulled out sandwiches out of the basket that were cut into heart shapes.
       "Too cheesy?" He asked.
       "Perfect!" I said biting into the sandwich. He pulled out a bag of kettle cooked chips and soda out of the lunchbox.
       "We are the perfect couple, aren't we Mr Allen?" I asked.
       "We are, Mrs Allen," Barry said before leaning over and kissing me. Just hearing that made me smile, and the sound of him saying it rung in my ears over and over.
After lunch, we went into the water and played around. We were in our clothes, but we didn't care.
      After the water, we cuddled up on our blanket that was now damp, and enjoyed each others company. We ended off the night with a make out session, while watching the sun go down over us.
