Flashette(Book Two)

When we arrived home from our beach day, we went right to bed.
"I can't believe this is what the rest of our lives is going to be," Barry said.
"I know. Aside from the Flash stuff, it's pretty normal," I said while walking over to the bed and climbing on top of Barry. We snuggled together and eventually fell asleep.
The next morning, we continued the day with Flash business.
"Suspicious activity at Central City Bank," Cisco said. I was already suited up and I sped over there. We burst through the doors and heard commotion in the back. I sped to the back room with Barry following, and saw two men standing with their backs to us, taking money out of an open vault.
"It's over, hand over the money," I said.
"Aww, such a pretty little face. Not for long," one of the men said before his fist turned to sand and he punched me. I was falling out of consciousness and that's all I remember.
"Barry, where am I?" I asked him when I woke.
"S.T.A.R. Labs, Chloe. The Sand Demon," Barry said with quotations, "came after you and hurt you. But Cisco gave me a helpful and efficient way to stop him. It turns out that he was a meta sent from Earth 2 to kill us, so Jay played as a decoy while I got you out of there. The Sand Demon is safely contained in the pipeline, thanks to Jay. The other Meta is still out there."
"It's okay Bar," Cisco said walking up to him and patting his shoulder, "I have found the other meta and what his powers are. One traffic cam showed them going in to the bank, and you said no one was there. The man that came out after everything was a different guy."
"So he's a shapeshifter. Good work Cisco!"
"I know. I'm the best. Anyway, I have been cooking up some theories here and with Jay's help, we may have found a way to stop him."
"He can turn into anyone he touches. When he comes in contact with them, he portrays their identity and can keep it for as long as he needs. This is dangerous for you two because if he touches you, he can take your identities and your powers," Jay said.
"Okay, thanks. I have to get to CCPD, Joe wants me. Chloe you can stay and figure out everything. You can help Cisco locate the meta and call me when you need me, okay?" Barry asked.
"Yeah. See you later," I said giving him a kiss. Barry sped out, and I was left with Jay, Caitlin, and Cisco.
"So how do we get him back to his original form?" I asked.
"He can hold the identity of the person until he touches someone else, so the way to reveal his original form would be to kill him."
"Oh, okay. And what would be the safest way to do that?"
"There is no safe way, Chloe. But Barry probably needs you at CCPD. Go. We'll try to track the meta. While you're at CCPD, try to dig up some info on Hannibal Bates.....That's the meta."
"Okay Cisco," I said before speeding out. I arrived at CCPD and greeted Joe.
"Hey Joe, why did you need Barry?"
"Cap wanted to talk with him. He's in the lab."
"Thanks Joe!" I said before Joe handed me a file and I walked up the stairs. I opened the lab door and couldn't believe what I saw.
"Barry, Joe gave me a ca--" I couldn't even finish what I said because I instantly started crying. The tears were just pouring out. Barry had Patty pinned up against the wall and he was kissing her. It's like they didn't even hear me come in.
"Oh Chloe, Hi!" Patty said happliy giving me a smirked smile while pushing Barry away. I knew something was up with her, but I didn't know Barry would do that to me. I took my ring off the threw it at him before slapping the case on his desk. That's all I could do before I ran out of CCPD.
I got home and didn't know what to do. Cisco got worried, so I called him and invited him to come over.
"So what happened?"
"I just walked in and saw them....together. I don't know why he would do this. What did I do this time?"
"Nothing. That doesn't sound like him. He loves you Chloe."
"It was him and in sure of it. And if he did that, he doesn't love me. Why do bad things like this always happen to me?"
"You don't deserve any of this. I don't understand why he would do that. Are you sure it was him?"
"It was him. And even after I came in, he didn't stop what he was doing. That was us a few days ago. He clearly doesn't feel the way I thought he did."
"Chloe, you're beautiful, intelligent, and strong. If Barry wanted to do that, then that's his loss. It's not your fault, it's his."
"Thanks Cisco," I said rubbing the tears away from my eyes. "Anything on this meta?"
"Yeah, we set up a plan. When he is next spotted, we are going to have Joe come with you and shoot him when you have him in position. Caitlin will call when he is located."
"Okay, thanks Cisco for everything."
"No problem," I said before Cisco got a call.
"Central City Bank, again" Cisco said.
"Go figure," I said before I suited up and sped out the door.
