I was currently in a meeting for one of the latest meta cases at CCPD. Recently, the amount of Metas appearing was out of control, and we were figuring out ways to stop them. In the middle of the meeting, my phone buzzed on my lap. As Captain Singh continued speaking at his podium, I looked down slowly into my lap to read the text.

"Forgot to send this to you a while ago. Thought you might need a little motivation 😉". I examined the picture, gulping at the way Barry was looking deeply into the camera. "You can thank Cisco for that one". With a chuckle, I looked up from my phone nervously as a few people glared in my direction. My face then turned a light shade of pink as I tried to brush it off and act as if nothing happened. "Everything alright?" Joe asked, nudging my shoulder. I nodded and whispered back: "Everything's fine." I then looked back up at the presentation, attempting to distract myself from Barry's actions. A few seconds later, I got another text. I looked down at my phone reluctantly. My brain wanted to pay attention to the meeting, but a larger part of my brain wanted to talk to my love.

I knew what Barry was trying to accomplish, and it was working. I was completely distracted from Captain's words as my mind began to wander off, thinking more about Barry as each second passed. As I tried to regain attention to Captain's speech, more selfies flooded in, which made me flip my phone over and place it face down on the table in front of me. Though I was eliminated of the distraction, my mind still thought of those few pictures of Barry and how cute he looked. Then I began to think about what he was up to and how bored I was sitting here. Joe would just end up giving me the details at S.T.A.R Labs later, so why am I wasting my time? After thinking about the endless possibilities of what Barry and I could be doing instead, I decided time was best for me to leave. "I'm gonna head out," I whispered to Joe, sliding my bag out from under my chair and placing it on my lap. I grabbed my phone off the table and stood up. I was in the back, so I didn't think Captain would notice. "Where are you going?" Joe asked. "The meeting isn't over until-". "I forgot to feed the dog," I replied quickly, taking a few steps back towards the exit. "You don't have a dog," Joe replied, shaking his head. "Yes I do," I replied with a smile.
