This takes place before Chloe and Barry are together. They are best friends, fresh out of college. It features one of my new favorite celebs. Enjoy! -Flashette1

Barry and I scoured the aisles of the nearest Walmart, scanning and skimming for items on our grocery list.
"Napkins, paper plates, soap?" I asked, confirming the items in the cart with the list that Barry held. He glanced over the list and nodded, checking off the items off the list.
"Next, off to the dairy section," I said as I took the cart and wheeled it over to the dairy section. I parked the carriage, looking at the deals and products they had. In the middle of my searching, I realized that we forgot an item in one of the previous aisles. I then turned to Barry and face palmed. "Paper towels..." I said to Barry before he sent me a glance. "Can you go grab them?" I asked. Barry nodded reluctantly and turned on his heel, walking over to the cleaning aisle. After his departure, I turned my attention to the eggs and butter, looking to see which one I should grab. While seeking, a tall, lean man appeared next to me, grabbing a carton of eggs from the highest shelf. He towered over me, having to be 6'5 at least. His bicep bulged as he reached, and I couldn't help but be mesmerized at how all of his features formed perfectly together: slicked back brown hair, blue eyes...When he brought the carton down, he placed it into his basket, which he had been holding. I quickly turned away just as he looked up, and I wasn't fast enough. I knew I had been caught in the act. I could feel his wide, toothy smile as I tried to hide the fact I was looking...Staring even.
"Like what you see?" The man asked, raising his eyebrows. I looked up slowly and blushed lightly. When my eyes met his, they locked. We could both feel the tension between us, though we were complete strangers. Nervous, I tucked a stray hair behind my ear as he continued to smile. To break the tension, I spoke:
"I--I was just interested in..." I said, trying to quickly find cover. He smiled and waited patiently for my response, which came out rather quick: "the eggs you were holding...looking to buy some of those myself." He smiled wider, his free hand going to the back of his neck.
"You want my eggs?" He asked with a smirk, handing them to me. I reached out for them, our hands brushing. I could then feel my cheeks heat up and turn an even brighter shade of red. He noticed and blushed back. I then took the eggs and placed them in my cart.
"I'm Lee," he said, holding out his hand to shake. I shook his hand, and couldn't help but notice how his hand was way larger than mine. We seemed to be hitting it off, having some kind of connection, but that was quickly interrupted. With a quick glance, Lee pulled away suddenly. He then fixed himself and looked away from my direction. Puzzled by the source of his distance, I looked around to see Barry, speed walking quickly and joining my side.
"Hey," he said, sending a glance at Lee and I. He smiled and cocked his eyebrows. Lee's eyes had darted to the floor.
"I'm sorry--" Lee said, stepping back. "I didn't know you were--"
"We're not--a thing--right, Barry?" I asked through gritted teeth. I had felt a connection with Lee and knew Barry couldn't be this was with me because he was in love with Iris. This was my one possible shot at happiness. I had finally accepted the fact that Barry and I could never be together, and had felt a strong attraction towards Lee. Barry paused at my comment and ignored me. Without warning, he wrapped his arm around my waist and planted a kiss to my cheek, which I wiped off, before stepping away from Barry. I stepped closer to Lee, but he stepped farther away, almost crashing into the lady behind him. I sighed at Barry's attempt to keep us from being together, and Barry took my hand. I then pulled away from his grasp.
"It must be Opposite Day," Barry said with a chuckle. Though Lee overpowered Barry and was physically stronger, Lee backed off and sent a nod before turning around and continuing back to his egg hunting. When Lee was far enough away, I turned to Barry with frustration evident in my voice:
"What was that?" I asked, pissed that Barry ruined my one chance at happiness. I was furious that he sabotaged my chance. Besides, he had feelings for Iris.
"Getting too close to you...Too close for comfort. My best friend radar was telling me he meant trouble." I rolled my eyes at Barry's lame excuse.
"Yeah, best friend radar..." I said sarcastically, looking down at the carton of eggs Lee had given me. I opened the carton to make sure the eggs weren't cracked, to find a small set of numbers inside the lid of the carton. With a small smile and a happy feeling in my stomach, I closed the carton and proceeded to shop with Barry, not telling him about my special eggs...
