"You guys gotta get over here now," Cisco said through the phone. Barry and I hung up and sped over to S.T.A.R Labs. We couldn't believe what we saw.
"Caitlin!" We cheered. We ran over to her and engulfed her in a hug.
"She'll be okay. She's a little shaken and she appears to be a little undernourished but she'll be fine," Henry said.
"That's good. How did you....escape?" I asked.
"He let me go. He gave me a choice to leave or stay and I left him. I'm scared."
"You don't have to be. He's not here. You're safe," I said.
     "Thank you guys," she said to us. We gave her one last hug before sending her off to rest.
     "Joe needs help, Go!! Zoom has all his Metahuman friends fighting on the streets and CCPD needs you out there."
     "Are you sure you're okay here?" I asked Cisco.
     "Yes, go" Cisco said before we sped off.
      One by one with the help of CCPD, we helped lower the meta human numbers. This is what we've been doing. But there were still plenty out there and knowing Zoom, more to come. We managed to get out of the mess, but many officers were left dead or injured. Even our captain was hit. But Joe got him to safety with our help and kept himself alive. We went back to S.T.A.R Labs to regroup with the rest of the team.
"Great teamwork guys! But there's still a lot out there. We might not be able to take them all down."
"Yes we can! We can do it! The speedforce is with us," Barry encouraged.
"Barry, there's too many. We can't-"
"We can, and we are going to. I'm not gonna stop fighting. Zoom has to go down once and for all," Barry said before exiting the cortex.
"Someone has to talk to him," Cisco said nudging me before I rolled my eyes and chased after Barry:
"Barry?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He replied.
"Listen, you're being very..........optimistic. It's not that I don't believe in you, but you're being very overconfident and getting ahead of yourself. A little fear doesn't hurt. And you being overconfident is what's going to get you hurt."
"That's the thing. I'm not afraid anymore. No one else has experienced what we've been through during the speedforce incident the other day. I believe we can do it and we are going to get him. I told you, I'm not gonna stop until he's down. Now let me-"
"GUYS!" Cisco yelled from the cortex. Barry and I sped in and out hearts were racing:
"Mercury Labs.....it's crumbling..."
Barry and I sped to Mercury Labs and it was indeed going down. Every scientist was out except Dr McGee. I sped in and found her. The ceiling was about to cave in, until I grabbed hold of her torso and sped her to S.T.A.R Labs when everyone was situated.
"Thank you Mr Allen...and Chloe."
"Wait, how did you-"
"I'm not stupid. I'm a scientist as well. It's not just a coincidence that you disappear when the Flashes come around."
"Okay, well......what happened?" Cisco asked.
     "Well we were working, minding our own business, until the building started shaking like an earthquake had struck. We had to go through evacuation and I got stuck in all the chaos."
    "Do you have any security cameras? Do you know what could have caused this?" Cisco asked her.
       "We have a black box type thing that was made for an emergency. It may have saved the security tapes and it has all of our information incase of emergency." I sped to Mercury Labs and after searching through the rubble, I managed to find it. I brought it back to S.T.A.R Labs and gave it to them. We were about to attempt to open it when an alarm went off:
     "It's my metahuman alert app......CCPD.." Cisco said. Barry and I were out the door. No one was in danger, but Zoom was in our lab.
     "Hello Flashes. How goes it?"
     "What do you want? I know you didn't just call us here to rant."
      "Actually, that's exactly what I wanted to do. We are alike you know. The only difference is that your suits are red and pink rather than black. We both grew up with the same situation. Parents murdered infront of us, continuous loss and feelings of grief. But I took control and I did something with my life."
     "Yeah, because killing and destroying worlds shows such progress."
     "But the one difference between us is while you're out there playing heroes and being the good guys, I'll be back here winning," he said looking out the window. Out the window, you could see metas reeking havoc on everyone and trashing the city. Buildings on fire and destroyed. We sped away from the lab, and put out all those fires with Zoom still watching from the lab.
    Barry and I were back at S.T.A.R Labs after putting out all the fires. During what seemed to be the longest talk of my life with the team, Cisco stopped moving and he froze in place. When he returned back to reality he made the strangest comment:
     "What is it Cisco? Did you vibe?" Barry asked.
    "BIRDS! WHY?" He questioned.
     "Okay, well aside from that we need to find a way to take Zoom down NOW!"
       "And we're trying."
      "Is there a way to take them all down at once?" I asked.
      "I don't think so unless you want to wipe out the rest of Central City."
      "Not necessarily Ramon," Harry said walking into the cortex.
     "Harrison Wells. I saw you in my lab a few months ago," Dr McGee said.
        "That wasn't me. There's a lot we need to catch you up on," Replied Harry.
        "This is Earth 2 Harrison Wells," I told her.
       "Earth 2? There's-"
      "That's a story for another time," Barry said trying to get off the topic of past events. Joe stormed into the Cortex and yelled our names.
      "What is it Joe?" I asked.
       "It's Wally. He's going out fighting. He stopped a meta like it was no problem. He's gonna get himself killed."
      "Joe, calm down. He's very determined to help people. And this second chance we gave him finally showed him something."
      "But can the Flashes...you know...."
      "Yeah, yeah. We can try but we don't now what will happen. He might not even change his mind," I said before we sped out. We found Wally's car parked in an alley and he was listening to a police radio.
"You know you can get into a lot of trouble for stealing," I commented.
"Hi...I...um..." He blushed.
"You need to stop fighting these guys off Wally. It's not safe," Barry said.
"But you gave me a second chance. How am I not supposed to do something? This is our city and its our job to protect it. I'm just trying to help."
"And I understand that, but we just want to keep you safe," I tried to tell Wally.
"Just like I want to keep the city safe."
"Meta attack. 5th and 9th," Cisco said into the earpiece. We sped off and saw something we never thought we'd see again.
"What is it?" Cisco asked.
"It's Laurel Lance."
"She's dead. Along with the Canary, for the what...the 2nd time now. But that's not even my name. I wasn't digging the whole Canary vibe. It's Black Siren. And I'm nothing like they were," she said before screeching at us. We flew across the street.
     She's worse than shrieky, I thought.
     Cisco and Harry's muffled voices was all I could hear. Barry and I were both grabbing our ears and screaming until the pain died out a bit.
"What's going on?" Cisco asked through the earpiece.
"Its over 200 decibels, she's going to kill them. They can't get out."
"And now to finish you," she said walking over to us. "And to think, Zoom is afraid of you two. He didn't have the nerve to kill you, but I do," she said before she went to make her move. I thought she was going to "cry" again and make our ears bleed, but that thought was interrupted by the screeching of a car. She was hit aside by a car, allowing us to make our escape:
"Get in!" Wally yelled. We both ran to the car and jumped in the back. Wally began to drive away.
"Looks like you guys needed saving tonight. I guess all those years of stealing cars and racing payed off. Huh! I thought you could use a lift,"
"Thanks," we said before speeding out of the car and speeding away back to S.T.A.R. Labs.
"You're lucky Wally was there," Harry said leading us down to the accelerator room.
"We are, and he is determined on saving this City. He's very overconfident," Barry said.
"That's one thing you both have in common. Other than the fact that you two need to learn that you aren't invincible. You can get hurt. This is Zoom we're talking about and you have to realize that."
"I'm sorry that i-"
"GUYS!" Harry yelled. "We finished the device. It was observed on earth 2 that they vibrate at a different and higher frequency, so this device messes with that frequency. If you guys run around the city, that should create a barrier and we will launch the device-"
"And the vibrations will be spread all around the city! Good job!" I said.
"All we have to do is wear the headphones and we will be fine," Harry said motioning to Jessie and himself.   
"Beats by Wells, just starting at $150 a pair," Cisco cut in. "Thanks to these babies, It won't have any effect on you guys."
"Let's give it a go," I said before we headed out and sped around the city. We could feel the force we were putting in and it payed off. But I could hear cinflict through the other end of the earpiece as we got further and further with the process.
"Dad it hurts, it hurts!" Jessie was now yelling. I was worried, but kept running. The vibration worked eventually and all the metahuman's were down. Barry and I had them all back in S.T.A.R Labs in record time for cleanup.
"Great work everyone! Where's Caitlin and Cisco?" I asked. They came running into the cortex in their doppelganger's clothes.
"Its Reverb and Kill-"
"Its us," they said taking off some of the clothing items.
    "We payed a little visit to Black Siren to see if she could give any information about what Zoom's planning. She found out if wasn't me because I caught something with the wrong hand, and she was about to come after us until I shot her with some Reverb type blast. She got up and I couldn't do it again so we were doomed. That was until the signal went off. We ran back here as soon as we could. How did it go?"
"All the metas are gone except for Zoom. He jumped through a breech and escaped. What about Harry and Jessie, are they okay?" I asked turning to Henry.
"Yeah. What you were hearing was Jessie with her headphones. They were malfunctioning and Harry gave her his headphones to use. She was worried when he got knocked out, but he'll be okay," Henry said.
"Hey, since all the threats are gone, how about we have a nice sit down dinner with everyone. We haven't had a real get together since Christmas and it would be like a celebration for all the hard work."
"Sounds nice. 7?"
"Sounds good. I'll go home and cook everything," Joe said exiting the Cortex.
At 7, we all returned to Joe's house. Every one was there, even Wally.
"Feed us already!" Cisco groaned from the living room.
"Soup's on!" Caitlin exclaimed. Cisco shot up and was the first to come to the table. I gave Barry a sweet kiss before standing up to walk to the table.
"We're not the only ones in love," I said looking over to Henry and Dr McGee flirting on the other side of the living room.
"Look at those two," Barry said pointing out Wally and Jessie at the dining room table. They were flirting with each other and I totally agreed with Barry.
"I guess our love is contagious," I told him before giving him another kiss.
"Get a room you two," Cisco said shooting us a glare. We ignored and kissed once again. Cisco was going to speak, but he was interrupted by a vibe. This one left him shaken at the end and he didn't know what to think or do.
"Cisco, what happened? What did you see?" I asked him.
"See? What do you mean?" Wally asked. He was trying to make sense of the situation.
"It was Earth 2. It was splitting in half. Like a cataclysm. Please don't tell me I'm now seeing the future."
   To interrupt all our thoughts, Zoom appeared. He had Henry in a headlock and Barry was now yelling.
"STOP! Let him go!" Barry said.
"Family matters," Zoom said before running away. Without thinking, we sped away to follow him. We knew Wally was there, but we were too worried and scared to care. Wally was going to have to find out anyway. Zoom had brought us to Barry's childhood home where his mother was murdered. We stopped in the living room where his mom was murdered.
"No! Stop! Let him go! Take me! Don't let him get hurt," Barry pleaded.
"Let him go. You can have both of us. Don't get him involved," I offered.
"Why would I do that? I want to destroy you and finish you. Mentally messing with you is the best. But this pain is going to hurt you forever. You will now go through the same thing and maybe you'll see that we aren't so different. Maybe all you need is one more bad event to turn you cold. Your parents, pets, family members, Ezra...."
"Don't talk about him!" I yelled.
"Barry, whatever happens. I love you so much and I always will. You have been the best son and I couldn't ask for more. I love you and I'm proud of what you've become," Henry managed to say in the headlock.
"I love you too dad. Jay, please...Don't do this."
"You chose this fate. And it won't stop until you do," he said stabbing his hand through Henry's chest right in front of us. I was in tears as was Barry.
"NO!!!!" Barry cried. Zoom dropped Henry to the ground without saying another word and we immediately ran over to Henry. Barry held his head over his dad's limp body. He began to cry and I did with him. I hugged him and he cried into my shoulder.
"He's gone Chloe. The only family I had left. He's really gone," he continued to cry. I rubbed his back to try to calm him down but the tears just kept coming and they never stopped.

How was chapter 31? This episode was so tear jerking for me. So many good things, but it's never a good day for this team. There's always something devitalizing. What did you think? I didn't put one in this chapter, but do you like the bonus POV I add from time to time? I was going to add one in this chapter but I found a way to add more content without the multiplie POV thing. I hope you are enjoying this book and I am going to continue the series for season 3. I believe there's one more episode left which means one more content chapter. And there is going to be some non-content chapters coming soon because of the wedding and other big events coming in the future, but that will probably have to be somewhere towards the third book because of all the conflict going on in the book at the moment.
