(f/n) was exhausted - work had been long and stupid, and she wanted nothing more than to take off her pants, lie down on her couch, and not move for hours. And that's exactly what she was going to do.

The second she had her door shut and locked behind her she was tearing off her pants, throwing them across the room, and letting a sigh of relief escape her. Being home was always the best feeling - no pants, no annoying people, nothing that she didn't want because it was her home.

On her way to her bedroom she turned on a radio so it wouldn't be so quiet in the apartment, and then she was changing into a night shirt and making a mental agenda of things to do before she sat in her spot on her couch and didn't move for the rest of the night.

She first went into the bathroom to wash her face and pee and contemplate showering before deciding she was too lazy - she could shower in the morning. After the bathroom she picked up her pants and set them over the back of the couch because she'd need to wear them sometime this week again in order to avoid doing laundry until the weekend.

She started up her laptop and clicked on Friends so she could let the episode load before walking into the kitchen to get snacks and some water. It was then she saw something she really shouldn't - a cat, sitting next to her sink, licking up the water that was dripping from the faucet.

(f/n) wouldn't have been so startled if it weren't for two things - one) she didn't own a cat and two) she was allergic.

"Where the hell did you come from?" she asked even though she knew the cat didn't understand and couldn't actually reply to her. The cat instead started walking along the counter towards (f/n), purrs emitting from it. "No, you'll kill me go away," she said, backing away from the cat.

It, obviously, still didn't understand her and continued walking towards her. Once it reached the end of the counter it jumped off and walked more towards (f/n), rubbing against her legs. (f/n) got only a few minutes of standing near the cat before she was sneezing.

"Ugh, go away," she groaned, stepping back and away from the cat. "You're cute and all but you're killing me for real."

(f/n) noticed a collar on the cat's neck and realized the fastest way to get rid of it would be to see if the owner's name or number or address was on the small metal hanging off of the collar. She gave herself a short pep talk, willing her nose to work with her for just a few more seconds so she could get closer to the cat and read the collar.

The cat had no problem with letting (f/n) look at the metal, so it was easy for the female to read 'Apt. 23' on the small tag, right under the name 'Daisy,' which (f/n) figured was the cat's name.

"You wait here cat, and I'll go get your owner," (f/n) said, pointing at the black ball of fur that was still rubbing against her legs. She sneezed again and could feel her eyes starting to water, so she left the apartment quickly - barely remembering to put on pants before walking out her door..

She lived in apartment 21, so she only had to walk down two doors to start knocking on the apartment door, sneezing again.

The door was answered by a very unenthusiastic looking man, wondering why the hell this girl was knocking on his door. He was tall and very handsome, and if (f/n) wasn't partially dying right now she might have tried to flirt with him. But her eyes were watering and her noise was tingling and she kind of just wanted to sneeze twenty times and then sleep for twelve hours.

"Are you okay?" he asked, noticing the girl's red, teary eyes.

"Uhh, I think your cat is in my apartment, and I'm super allergic to it."

The man's eyes widened for a moment and he was leaving his apartment quickly, following the girl to her own. When (f/n) opened opened the door to her apartment she sneezed again and then groaned.

"I'm sorry," the tall man said after she'd sneezed again. "She is very curious about the world outside of my apartment."

(f/n) smiled at him despite how miserable she was feeling. "It's fine uhh -"

"Ushijima," he filled in, and (f/n) nodded.

"Well, don't worry about it Ushijima, cats really don't understand boundaries, so it's nobody's fault really - except for my mom's, for passing on her allergies."

(f/n) was surprised that her sentence caused the slightest lift up of the man's lips, and she was smiling wide again before sneezing. "Okay, your cat is cute but we need to please get her out of here as fast as we can."

They found the cat sniffing around (f/n)'s couch, but she seemed to realize that the person entering the house was her owner, and she was immediately purring and trotting towards him.

(f/n) watched as Ushijima picked up the cat, and it was one of the most heart warming sights ever, even with her eyes and nose as irritated as they were - (f/n) really wasn't sure how but the man was definitely cuter than the cat was.

"I'd like to apologize again for Daisy, and if there is any way I can make it up to you than please let me know."

"Well," (f/n) said, leaning her back against a wall. "I would like to see you again if you wouldn't mind. Of course, without the cat so I don't look or sound or feel like this. But if not than it's really no problem, don't worry about it, cats will be cats."

Ushijima seemed to think for a moment before he was nodding. "I'm free on Friday if you are too, and we could hang out somewhere where Daisy isn't."

(f/n) smiled and nodded. "Yeah that sounds good."

Ushijima smiled slightly, and nodded back at her. "I'll pick you up at seven."

(f/n) led him to the door and watched him leave, hand lightly scratching behind his cat's ear. Once she had the door closed she leaned against it. "Thank you, Daisy."
