Terushima Yuuji was know as the player of Johzenji High School - he didn't score a lot because a lot of girls in the school weren't into how forward he was, but when they were into it he ran away. He wasn't really into getting laid and playing girls, that's just how he came across with the hairdo and the tongue piercing. He accepted it thought - it made him popular with the ladies, made the men look up to him, gave him a name around the school.

His personality made it easy - he was the eager to please, crazy fun guy he always came across as, and flirting with girls was always fun, he just wasn't into fucking around with people he wasn't going to dedicate himself to. Nobody really knew that, and nobody really needed to know that. He couldn't just change his image now in the middle of high school. So, he would wait until college and become the guy who took girls on cute dates and kissed them on their cheeks goodnight and held their hands if they let him.

Or at least he thought he would wait. But he couldn't stop the way he got flustered when (f/n) was around, or the way he would always hold the door for her and thank her when she did the same for him. He couldn't help the small surge of pride when they had nice conversations during class, couldn't help the pride when he helped her with problems and vice versa. He had feelings, feelings for a beautiful girl, and he just wanted to hold her hand and take her to cafes and parks at sunsets.

He didn't know how to tell her that though - he knew how to get girl's numbers and he knew how to flirt until the girls were swooning, but he didn't know what to do with genuine, real feelings. He saw the way (f/n) dealt with boys who came up to her and confessed - if they forced themselves at her she shot them down no problem, shooing them off without a second glance - (f/n) was intimidating. She knew what she deserved, and Terushima knew he wasn't that, not with how he pretended to be an ass.

He was even more shut down when a boy Terushima noticed as someone in their class started bringing (f/n) things, giving her sweets and notes and trying to carry her books. He noticed (f/n) trying to avoid him after a while - she started making excuses to end their conversations early, started spending less time at her locker so he wouldn't have a place to bother her, started declining the things he wanted to give her.

Terushima kept an eye on them because he wanted to make sure (f/n) stayed okay, to make sure that this guy wasn't going to try to force himself onto (f/n) or hurt her. He didn't for a few days, so Terushima stopped keeping an eye on them. It was weird that he was so interested in watching them, so he stopped.

*****

He shouldn't have stopped - the boy interested in (f/n) was big and angry and easy to set off. So, when she finally told him how it was, told him to leave her be he became rather angry. Terushima was the only other person in the hallway, and he didn't hesitate to walk down the hallway to where his classmate was leaning forward to quietly talk with (f/n).

Terushima didn't want to start a fight so he came up on the side of them and smiled widely at the male before looking to (f/n).

"Hey baby, you ready to go?" (f/n) looked confused, but Terushima continued talking. "My mom is really looking forward to having you over tonight, she made a lot of food."

(f/n) reached her hand out to grab Terushima's and he pulled her away from their classmate and towards his body until his arm was wrapping around her shoulders. (f/n) awkwardly waved goodbye to the other boy before letting Terushima lead her all the way down hallways and stairs until they were outside.

"Thank you," she said to him once they were stood in front of the building. "Boys usually listen when I speak, so I didn't know what to do when he started to get aggressive."

Terushima smiled and allowed himself to nod. "It's no problem - if it were any other guy I wouldn't have been worried, but he's a little unpredictable."

(f/n) lifted her eyebrows. "Worried?"

Terushima started getting flustered and lifted his right hand to scratch at his neck. "Umm, yeah, I noticed he was kind of clinging to you, and I'd seen him be weird towards other ladies before, so I was a little worried about you. I know you can handle yourself, but he's pretty buff and scary, so-"

"Thank you," (f/n) said, small smile on her face. "It's nice to know that you're not who everyone thinks you are."

Terushima was quick to try and defend his title. "Oh, I am, it's ju-"

"You wouldn't have been worried about me if you were how everyone says. And you also would have tried to make a move on me," she pointed out, and Terushima looked to the ground. "Could we go to coffee or something this weekend?"

"I'm free right now if you are," Terushima said a little loudly. He went to correct himself, was going to make himself seem less eager, but (f/n) was talking before he could.

"That sounds nice, where should we go?" Terushima held his hand out and (f/n) took it with a smile. "Lead the way?"

"I will," he promised before walking off, a smile on his face the entire walk.

Maybe he wouldn't wait until college.

This might be the last update of the day but I might post the Suga one shot if I finish it on time.

All of these were to make up for my lack of posting during the week because work was crazy. It may also be a little leeway bc I'm not sure how work is gonna be this week.

I hope you all are doing well and if you celebrate it, Happy Easter! If you don't I hope you had a great Sunday! ^.^
