Sugawara Koushi || Time

 (f/n) and Suga didn't have a lot of time left - they were in their third year of high school, and they were both unsure about what was going to happen when they reached graduation, when they were both going to head to different cities and meet new people.

They didn't want it to end, of course - they had been dating for a little over a year now, through their awkward, high school phases - but it wasn't set in stone that it would carry on, that they would make it, and they probably wouldn't; high school relationships weren't really meant to last.

But they were trying their hardest; trying to fit in as much time together as they could before it was over, trying to make the most of the time they had before they were done. They loved being with their friends together, their friends were the best, \but they wanted alone time, they wanted to spend time just the two of them, no interruptions.

They couldn't get that out in public, couldn't get that at (f/n)'s home because of her parents or at Suga's home because of his siblings, so they'd found the perfect compromise - the gym.

Suga spoke with Takeda about it and made sure he got approval before using his emergency key to sneak them in every night after practice, and once he got approval it was rather smooth sailing. The gym was big and a little too echoey, but it was empty when they met there and served it's purpose for them to go there and see just each other and be alone together. They sat on the bleachers and passed volleyballs back and forth with each other and sometimes even ate dinner together on the floor of the gym.

They took turns bringing food for the both of them to eat, and they even brought each other little gifts and their favorite snacks when they didn't plan to be there long enough to eat a full picnic dinner.

It was nice, being able to spend time together before they couldn't anymore - the singing and dancing and talking and laughing and just being together - and it wasn't any different when the team found them there together.

Suga had arrived first - as usual, since (f/n)'s club usually went on later than the volleyball club did - and he set up the small meal he had prepared for them that night, letting some Disney music play as he did.

He was humming along to the music when (f/n) arrived, and after a small kiss was placed on Suga's cheek she too started humming as they set things up.

The music was turned down while they ate so they could better hear and speak to each other, the words to the children songs turning into more of a background noise to their laughs and banter.

The way the empty gym echoed their voices was something they had grown used to, something that both of them had learned to love a lot, but it had one downside - they couldn't hear if/when somebody (or a lot of somebodies) was near the building. So, the couple didn't know when a few of the windows were pried open and hushed voices sounded from outside of the gym.

"You were right, Daichi-San," Hinata whispered in a voice that was far louder than a whisper. The short first year was receiving a piggy back ride of sorts from Kageyama so that he could comfortably look through the window with the others. "(l/n)-San and Suga-San are sneaking into the gym after school!"

Daichi had a small frown on his face - he didn't understand why they were sneaking around, why the felt they couldn't tell Daichi or Asahi or anyone else on the team about them spending nights in the gym.
