"It's been a really long day, honey. I'm closing up the shop, and then I'll be home sweet home," Keishin said through the phone, locking the front door to the shop. (f/n) smiled, the thought of Keishin getting home warming her heart.
"Okay, I've got dinner ready for you for when you get home," the woman replied, a smile on her face. "Just be careful and I'll see you in a few." Keishin replied and then they both hung up, and (f/n) went back to finishing up dinner.
When they first started dating, (f/n) was surprised with how much she enjoyed making dinner for she and Keishin. At first, he was the one to cook; he'd make it home before (f/n), prepare dinner and congratulate himself when his girlfriend would beam at the food on the table and hug him tightly in thanks.
That changed when he started coaching for the volleyball team, though - most of his spare time was now devoted to those kids, Keishin only at his and (f/n)'s apartment to sleep and shower at night.
(f/n) didn't mind, though; she knew that helping those teenage boys accomplish their dreams made him happy, helped fill something in Keishin's life that was missing, so she had no problem cooking more and cleaning what messes he would make on the mornings when he wakes up late - Keishin was happy despite the stress, so she was too.
It was fifteen minutes after he called Keishin came walking in the door, letting a sigh of relief escape him upon upon closing the door. Their small apartment was warm and smelt as it always had, like a mixture of the dinner (f/n) had made and the perfume she'd been using for years now and it was immediately relaxing to Keishin.
"It smells good in here," he said with a pleased look as he took of his shoes and put on his slippers at the same time as he took of his coat and hung it up.
"It's your favorite," (f/n) said with a smile, peaking out of the kitchen to see him. "Come and eat it while it's still nice and hot."
He did as told and sat down at the table, but only after placing a kiss on (f/n)'s forehead. He smiled at the sight of all of his favorite foods displayed across the table top, making a mental note to do something extra nice for (f/n) that weekend to try and make up for his absence lately.
"Thank you very much," he said to his girlfriend, digging in afterwards.
They spent the meal talking about their days and what they should do for the weekend, which they both were - surprisingly - free during. The meal was full of laughs and annoyed words from Keishin about the teenagers he was coaching - (f/n) knew he wasn't really that annoyed with them, but she went along with it and agreed with his statements, a fond smile on her face as she did.
He finished a story about Hinata falling into the net during practice at the same time that he finished his dinner, a thanks leaving his mouth again once he finished.
After taking care of the food they headed to the bathroom to get ready for bed. (f/n) promised she would do the dishes in the morning, that now she just wanted to spend some time with her boyfriend and relax. Keishin spent the entire time washing his face and brushing his teeth bitching about how tired and sore he was, flopping face first onto the bed after getting off his pants.
"Take off your shirt," (f/n) said, walking out of the bathroom in her underwear and an old t-shirt of Keishin's, one he remembered wearing when he was still in high school.
"(f/n)," Ukai whined, "I'm to tired and sore to do anything like that tonight, let's just go to sleep."
(f/n) laughed and shook her head. "Geez you perv, that's not why I told you to take it off," she said with a slight smile, grabbing a bottle of lotion off of her dresser. "I'm going to give you a back massage to make you feel better. So, take off your damn shirt and lie down."
With an embarrassed blush Ukai did as (f/n) had said to do and took off his shirt before lying down on the bed on his front, his arms by his side. (f/n) made her way over to the bed and sat on his butt, squeezing some of the lotion from the bottle and onto his back.
"Ahh, that's cold," he said, which caused (f/n) to smile a little as she spread the lotion.
"Stop being a baby," she said to him, starting to rub his back at his right shoulder.
They were relatively quiet as (f/n) did this, only a few things said, and they were always Keishin telling her to let up a little on more sore spots or groaning when she'd finally work a knot out of his muscles. She was almost sure he'd fallen asleep before he told her that she was pressing too hard on one of the more painful knots, her fingers letting up immediately.
"Ya'know, that was the first time someone has ever turned down sex from me," she said in a joking tone. It probably wasn't the truth, but she was hoping to tease him about how that was the first place his mind had gone.
"I'll make it up to you this weekend," he mumbled into the sheets. She could tell by the tone in his voice that he was almost asleep so after a few more minutes of massaging him she got off of his back and put the lotion away.
He sleepily moved to get under the covers, (f/n) crawling in after him. He pulled her a little closer and kissed her forehead, a sleepy smile crossing her face at the gesture.
"You're the best," he said sleepily, and she pulled away a little to kiss his nose.
"I know," she said, causing him to chuckle. "Goodnight, Ukai," she whispered, burying her face in his neck.
"Goodnight, (f/n)."
