Okay, the Grendel poem series (of which there are five poems) is where I made poems on Grendel, an antagonist in Beowulf (the epic), for my Honors English class and got extra credit for doing so :) so enjoy, the first one's the best one in my opinion...
For has anyone seen
the plant
of a full-grown seed of Cain?
Does he
cast tall
shadows?
White and black
and peeling,
rotting,
flesh that
feeds maggots
though he still yet walks?
Or is he
a crouching
skulking
creature,
green boogery
flesh,
hobbled over
with his evils,
two monstrous claws
to scrape
and scratch
lives from bodies?
None of us know.
For has anyone seen
the plant
of a full-grown seed of Cain?
