Chapter 73

We finally managed to leave the loft at 6:30 giving us plenty of time to meet with my friends at Mississippi Studios. As was expected, the press and cameras along with fans were waiting for Harry and me to leave the building. We didn't even attempt to drive there as it was such a quick walk and the weather was still nice. We figured it was worth the walk and dealing with everything – we just held hands and smiled; Harry stopped for a few photos and I was even asked for selfies. I didn't understand why but Harry nodded so I did. A few of the fans even wanted to take photos of the two of us which Harry was definitely supportive of and made sure to stop for those requests.

Finally walking into the bar most of the fans were underage and couldn't come in as it was a 21 and over venue. Cameras weren't allowed as Ray had security handling it and letting them know this was more of a private function and only select people were being allowed. While it didn't make Ray popular it was definitely good to know that only locals and a few select people were going to be allowed in tonight. I felt better already.

Matty, his wife Linda, Greg and Scott were all sitting at a table and when they saw Harry and I walk through the door they all yelled out. 'EMILY! Oh My God, look what the cat dragged in! Come over here lady – where they hell have you been? I thought you were only going to be gone for a couple weeks max. It's been a month." Matty said as he stood up and gave me a hug.

"Matty this is my boyfriend Harry, Harry this is Matty. He is the bass player and a very good friend. This is his wife Linda, this is Colin the lead guitarist and this is Scott the drummer. Guys this is Harry..."

"Harry Styles – I can't believe I remember you on X Factor mate" Matty said as he extended his hand. "I saw you on the show when I was still living in Epsom" he said.

Harry looked at him and smiled "Wow, you've known about our group longer than my girlfriend. What does that say?" he smiled and shook everyone's hands.

"Hey, I didn't watch X Factor" I said in defense. "Besides, you said you liked the fact I didn't know about you until 2014. Are you telling me now that you're hurt I didn't know?" I asked Harry.

"No baby, I still think it's very cool that you didn't know." He smiled wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me to him.

"So, you are going to sing with us tonight right, Em?" Matty said.

"Uh, well yeah I guess but not the whole night, okay? I just want to enjoy being here, have some food and some wine. I wanted to show Harry this place and enjoy" I told him.

"Oh no you don't Em it's been too long and you need to be up there with us tonight. Come on, I see you brought your bag so you have your leathers – let's go in and practice some songs. Harry, you can sit here and have some drinks with Linda and Ron – he's our bartender and he makes the best drinks ever. We're going to go through some songs and will be back out in a bit. Show starts around 9 which means you should have a nice buzz going by then" he said as he grabbed my arm and pulled me with him as the rest of the guys walked in front of us.

"Uh, I'll see you later babe" I said trying to go back to Harry to give him a kiss but Matty wasn't letting go of me and made me continue walking to the stage behind the doors behind the bar. I shrugged my shoulders at Harry and he shrugged his at me.

Once we were in the back and walked up onto the stage, Matty finally let me go and sat me down in one of the chairs that were on the stage. We all sat down in a chair and I took a deep breath. "Okay, what's going on, what's the problem?" I immediately asked.

"Nothing, just wondering how you could just pick up and leave your job and decide to move down to Los Angeles" Matty asked?

"How the hell did you know that? Oh, Ray told you, didn't he?" I surmised. "Well I had to resign my position as they were questioning my ethics. I did nothing wrong, someone down there is trying to set me up and while Mike finally agreed I had done nothing wrong, as long as Glen and all the other companies down there want me, I decided to move to L.A. I also have another reason to be down there now and that is Harry. I'm in love with him." I said point blank staring at them all as I stood up from my chair and just kept looking at each of them.
