"I'm such a bastard," John sighed. "Leaving me pregnant wife like this."

"Oh, John." Paul hugged him. "It's going to be okay."

"Cyn hates me."

"She doesn't hate you!" He hugged him tighter. "I'm sorry for tearing you two apart."

"Don't be sorry, love. I couldn't help falling in love with you, it's okay. I hope she knows I'll always love her."

"Yeah. When is Jules due?"

"Two months," he replied. "I hope she'll let me see him." He put his head in his hands. "I'm so fucked up. I left me beautiful wife and kid for a beautiful man, me best mate. I'm a horrible person, a no-good queer."

"No, John, no." Paul whispered soothing words in his ear. "I fell for a beautiful man too, you know. I'm a queer. We can be horrible people together, how does that sound?"

"G - gear," he muttered.

"Good. I love you, okay? I'll never let you go."

"I'll never let you go, either. It's just the two of us, no birds. I'll never look at another girl as long as I live." John wrapped his trembling arms around him.

Paul suddenly felt wetness on his neck. "John, are you crying?"

"No!"

"It's okay, Johnny." He gently swayed him back and forth. "It's okay."
