"Ringo never, Pete Best forever!" the crowd chanted. "Ringo never, Pete Best forever!"

Ringo hid behind John, shock and slight fear in his eyes. "They don't like me."

"Damn right we don't!" a man yelled.

"Hey!" George stepped down from the stage, standing right in front of him. "Don't talk about our drummer like that!"

"Why not? He's not even your drummer, Pete is!" he growled.

"We sacked him because we didn't think he was good enough," he hissed. "It wasn't your call. Now get out of my face."

"Oh?" The man smirked. "Call this." He punched him in the face, laughing slightly.

"Hey!" Someone quickly pulled him away as George held his eye.

"George!" Ringo rushed over to him. "I'm sorry, it's all my fault! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, it's not your fault." He looked up, staring into his eyes. I'd do anything to protect him.

"Okay." Ringo stared back. He protected me.

They smiled at each other.

I think I'm in love with him.
