"You can do this." Ringo patted Elica's shoulder as she stepped into her high school.

"Welcome to our first ever talent show!" the principal announced.

"Oh, god." She stood behind the curtain, shifting her guitar nervously.

"Hey." A hand touched her shoulder. "You'll do fine."

"Thank you, Lucy." Elica took a deep breath as her name was announced, then stepped out from behind the curtain.

"And now Elica Harrison-Starkey, performing Octopus's Garden!" the principal beamed.

"That's me daughter up there!" Ringo shouted, nudging the person next to him.

"Ringo!" George scolded as Elica began to play.

I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus's garden in the shade
He'd let us in, knows where we've been
In his octopus's garden in the shade

I'd ask my friends to come and see
An octopus's garden with me
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus's garden in the shade

We would be warm below the storm
In our little hideaway beneath the waves
Resting our head on the seabed
In an octopus's garden near a cave

We would sing and dance around
Because we know we can't be found
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus's garden in the shade

We would shout and swim about
The coral that lies beneath the waves
Oh, what joy for every girl and boy
Knowing they're happy and they're safe

We would be so happy, you and me
No one there to tell us what to do
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus's garden with you
In an octopus's garden with you
In an octopus's garden with you

Elica played the last guitar riff, then stepped away from the mic slowly.

Silence.

"Oh, no." She began biting her nails, tears welling up in her eyes.

Then came the applause. Louder, louder, louder.

"THAT'S ME DAUGHTER UP THERE!" Ringo yelled again, jumping up and down.

"That's me niece!" Paul shot up from his seat.

Elica glanced around, then smiled brightly. Then she took a bow, guitar knocking against her legs. "Th - thank you," she whispered into the mic.

"Elica!" She jumped as Ringo stormed the stage. "You did this better than I ever did!"

"Dad!" She tried to push him back, but he just hugged her. Paul and George followed, joining the hug. "Oh."
